      good morning from sweden

Hi , long time dreamer, but just found this site last night and was excited too discuss and learn more about dreaming :-)
So basically I dream most nights and rememeber most of what i dream, i have alot of long dreams and specific dreams, and have collected several journals throughout the years, sometimes i get lazy and don't write for awhile even if i know i should. So I'm wondering what kind of dreaming i do?? usually i can choose the location what i would be doing is something i would be interested in the previous day.. I'm not sure how 'advanced' i am, or what i should be shooting for, is lucid dreaming 'the goal' so too speak, Any thoughts ??

      Welcome to the forum!

I wouldn't say lucid dreaming is the "goal" per say - rather it's the gateway to a world with endless possibilities that you can control. So your "goal" could be anything you can imagine - having superpowers like flight or super speed, adventuring in vivid landscapes and fantasy worlds, or just exploring the dream world to harness your subconscious's creativity. Lucid dreaming is what makes it all possible. And it's good that you have good dream recall, that'll help you a lot when you're starting out.

      Thanks bee,
I realize after reading alot of the forums, i have some outer control in order to have my favorite locations and i very often meet characters i want too meet, i have had a few dreams where i know i was dreaming but just went along for the ride (flight) . I guess my short time goal will be to fully realize i'm dreaming and perhaps do something like start yoga in my dream :-) although i'm unclear about if i decide before hand what i should dream about its possibly just controlled ....

      Anyway Thanks for the help

That sounds like a good goal. It is possible to be lucid without having much control and also to have control without much or any lucidity. When we are fully lucid in a dream, we know 100% that everything around us is a dream and that there is no reason to fear danger or embarrassment or anything at all. When you are strongly in that state you can remember goals that you set and do almost anything that you want to do with the right approach. Although you are no newbie to dreaming, if you decide to pursue lucid dreaming (I highly recommend it!) please take a look at my thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...-read-imo.html

(My username does mean what it sounds like, haha). hejdå (for now)

Yes, fogel bise, exactly . The teacher thing comes in over in the Dreamviews Academy section and I am in the DILD section where we aim to help folks to become lucid in the middle of their dreams as opposed to WILD's which are quite different and more challenging for most people. Check DVA out if you are interested.
