      Hello all!

Just wanted to say hey to everyone still active on here. I used to be a member back in 2011 and I see a couple people rejoining recently as well which is cool. I was never a big poster or contributor in the old days so I'm basically new haha.

To keep a long story short I used to be semi-decent at lucid dreaming (averaged maybe 2 a week at my peak) but after college I joined the trend of working full-time...meaning no more naps or sleeping in late

Following that I noticed a steady decline of lucid dreams and now I haven't had one in months. I work as an electrician in the natural gas and oil industry and most of the time when I'm wiring a control panel or such I will listen to podcasts. I stumbled across the old Dreamviews podcast on YouTube and figured I'd stop in and see if anyone could teach an old dog new tricks (I'm only 23 but couldn't pass up the chance to use that saying).

Anyway, I'm not sure if there are classes still available on here or not, or somewhere I can start anew but if there is I am ready to get involved and back on track! And I am also willing to help in anyway I can so don't hesitate to ask! In the meantime I'll try and familiarize myself better with the forum and see what's what.

      Thanks in advance!

      - Legkicker

Hey Legkicker and welcome back! I also am sort of returning to the forum. I've been in the discord server a lot but haven't been reading or writing posts to the forum. It's always great to see users with old account creation dates! I hope your lucid count goes back up to what it used to be. What is your prefered method?

Welcome back, Legkicker! I am a newer member myself but have also enjoyed the journey of lucid dreaming. I know constrained schedules can be an obstacle for LDing, but I hope you will be able to get back into it at least during the weekends maybe.

Wow! Your profile is a full veteran! Get posting! lol! good that you are checking in. Hope to see many posts by you soon.

As far as the full time/ little sleeping in thing goes, I have a useful tip. Most good activity happens after 7ish hours sleep. Also DEILD can be practiced many times with a snooze alarm. Set your clock at least 3 snooze cycles ahead of when you need to get up. Move as little as possible to hit the snooze and do DEILD. You get one attempt with each snooze. I set mine for 6 snooze cycle (6x9 min). I can get some sort of dream experience each morning if even 1 in 6 attempts work. Down side is if you really hit a perfect LD you only get 9 minutes to play. Worth it though.

I appreciate the kind words Madmonkey! And my preferred method is definitely WILD, however, that takes some practice and I am not too good at it. Most of my LDs stem from reality checks working out in DILD or DEILD. I have noticed that those dreams seem to be less stable and less vivid than successful WILD attempts...at least for me haha

Thanks sivason! I appreciate the advice and will definitely try that out! I think the cycle you setup may help me considering I normally only set one alarm to wake me up (about an hour before I have to wake up for work) and I normally just shut it off and go back to sleep

But perhaps if I set it up like you suggest it will be more beneficial. My biggest issue right now is giving up on attempts especially with WILDing. I always make it to the sleep paralysis stage but then I get too excited/nervous and I get stuck in a loop of hypo-whateveritscalled-imagery and paralysis and nothing happens and I end up giving up or restarting. It's probably just my fault for getting frustrated too easily haha. But again thanks for the advice!
