Thumbs up

I've never had a ld before. Id like to wild.

1 Should my eyes be open?

2 How should i be laying down? Back, or side. (i sleep on my side)

3 what should i be thinking about?

4 will the light buzzing from my fish tanks, (that dont disturb my normal sleeping) affect WILDING?

Please answer....

I deleted your other topic, its seems you made 2. I'm not the best at WILDing but here all the help I can give:

I've never had a ld before. Id like to wild.
1 Should my eyes be open?
[/b]
Keep them closed, it won't be distracting.
2 How should i be laying down? Back, or side. (i sleep on my side)
[/b]
Lying on the back is the best way.
3 what should i be thinking about?[/b]
Just think about being lucid "I will have a WILD and I will be lucid. Also think about your breathing.
4 will the light buzzing from my fish tanks, (that dont disturb my normal sleeping) affect WILDING?
[/b]
It could distract you but apart from that, no I don't think it will do anything.

Well hope this helps.

file corropted?

hey how long should this process take?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so i lay there in a comforable postion. Breathe in through my mouth and in my head say one. than as i exhale i say in my head i am dreaming. Continue this for like 150 to 200. as i do this i think about my breathing and dont move. is this correct?

if this is correct i woudl love to try this tonight, but right away, and dont get the 6 hours asleep and wake up thing. i live in a house with my family and no one can wake me up... so is it ok to try to wild without getting the first 6 hours of sleep for a beging. ive never had a ld.

If you can't do the "wake up 6 hours later thing" (WBTB), then it's near impossible.

Some people can do it, but most can't. I've only met two people on this forum that can do it.

I've also heard of only two people doubt they are the same people as TweaK is talking about, but it definitly is possible, but I think you have to use skills to wild that are improvable such as zoning out, visualization, passive thinking, that is the best way, if you want to learn to do it at night before bed/during the day.

It's easier after the 6 or some hours cause your REM comes faster and lasts longer. Other than that it takes a lot of practice. So don't get dissapointed if it doesn't work.

Gothlark and Nesgirl119 (though I'm not sure I trusted in all that sci-fi stuff, it's easy enough to believe next to the kind of things gothlark can do

I find WBTB to be the easiest method. Almost always works for me. Never been lucid recently though. Kinda odd considering the events that go on in my recent dreams. I usually set my alarm early anyways out of habit though.

As to if you should lie on your back or otherwise, this might vary from person to person. I see some people saying you should do it on your back, but I don't like sleeping on my back so I usually WILD on my side or stomach.

so 6 hours of sleep get up and read bout lding for 15 - 30 minutes and go back to bed with lding in mind?

so you just sit relaxed with no distractions, and wait?

last night i tried to wild for my first time without the 6 hours of sleep. i cot tingling sensation and like heat in my legs, is this related?

Lying on your back is said to make inducing sleep paralysis easier. I have tried to WILD and have got the same feeling but i have always just fallen asleep before the hypnogogic state starts i guess. I'm not really sure how experiencing a WILD is so I'm not very sure on much else than what I read about it. It's hard to get a feel for something such as WILDing through words.

i would HIGHLY recommend you increase your dream recall
if you have 5 dreams in a night... and remember only the last one
one or two of the other ones could be LUCID's
and you would never know

heya!

I cant give you the recipe.. but I can share how it works for me")

I lay down on my back with my eyes closed..
I concentrate on my breathing..and let my muscles to relax compleately..
I stop thinking, simply keeping my attention to my body sensations.. just let my body fall asleep keeping my mind aware.. vuala

P.S.I also been practising Gasho meditation for a while..which gues, helps a lot to notice your body without your mind irritating..and if you havent heard about gasho..its simple as that..just find a comfortable place for you to sit without possibility being interupted, close your eyes and just NOT to think..haha")
good luck

best of luck

Dude, I find that everything that I can usually ignore when i sleep drives me nuts when Im attempting a WILD, but it may not bother you, who knows.

Surprisingly, it's not that easy. Not for me at least. I try to keep my mind quiet and concentrate on breathing and dreaming and all these random things keep popping in my head. Maybe I'm just bedtime ADD or something but it takes quite a bit of work to keep my mind focused. It is getting easier with practice (I've been working on Zhine once or twice a day and I think its helping).

Even though I fail to achieve lucidity, my dream recall usually improves right after a WILD attempt.
