Like I had a dream where I was being chased by some monster type guy, then I realized it was just a dream. So I gave myself super human strength and the ability to shoot fire out of my hands.. Lets just say the guy wasnt to scary after that.. Haha.

Dream control is when you have control of yourself and/or your surroundings, in the dream. If you don't know you are dreaming, many people can still shoot fireballs and change things around, as well as make conscious decisions (controlling themselves, instead of watching themselves as if they were watching a movie). Either of these can be done without "being lucid" (knowing you're dreaming.) That would be a non-lucid dream with dream control.

If you know you are dreaming, and are able to make conscious decisions ("I'm going to run this way. I'm going to run that way. I'm going to shoot fireballs from my hands" etc.) then that is a lucid dream, with dream control.
