      Question about WILDs.

Hey, I am both new to these forums and new to Lucid Dreaming.

Since I am new to Lucid Dreaming, don't kill me if this question is ridiculous or stupid . I have just been curious about this for a bit, and am hoping to find an answer.

      Ok, here 'goes:
Is it possible to have a WILD when you go to sleep, without having to wake first? Or if that isn't a WILD, is it possible to go straight into a dream from the wakeful state without preparation?

I don't care at the moment how difficult it would be or how experienced you must be, I am just curious if it is possible so I can have a strong goal in the future. (I always need a good and exciting goal to achieve anything)

      Thank you in advance.

I have heard of people that claim to be able to WILD at will (sink straight into a dream from a conscious state). It's definitely a good goal to set though, as you'll basically be a master at lucid dreaming if you achieve that level.

Thanks a bunch, that is all I needed to know!

Of course, if anyone else has some info they want to throw on, that would be great too. But for the most part, my question has been answered.

I'm new here and I didn't even know what this experience was called until a couple of days ago. Lucid Dreaming and WILDs are new words to me but I have done them for a long time and they just come naturally to me.

Usually I randomly wake up in the middle of the night, close my eyes, relax, and think about sinking through my bed. 99% of the time I "sink" through my bed within 10 seconds and land in a dream world and I've never lost conscious alertness.

I've been told this may be difficult for some people, but it just happens for me. That's how I do it. Relax, think about sinking, and land in a dream world.

      Hello Insanekid and to dreamviews.

Yes it is very possible to go straight into a WILD as perviously stated BUT that is normally only done by the more experienced. Your best bet at achieving a WILD is after a sleep or, at the start of an afternnoon siesta, which I have found is the best time for Lucid dreaming of any type for the beginner. At that time, you dont need a heavy sleep and usually sleep lightly in the REM mode which is ideal for LD.
There is my two bits worth of advise.

      Good luck and best wishes.

      Hello

Yeah some people claim to go straight into WILDs without doing a WBTB. Ofcourse I'd recommend that you try a WBTB first though

Thanks guys for all the help and info.

@vikneifdi I will try that tonight, thanks.

@Ronstek Oh good, so now I know it is certainly possible. Thanks, and of course I wont be trying to do that any time soon. ^_^ But it is certainly a goal to stride for. I will take your advice and try that out too. Thanks a bunch.

@NeAvO Yeah, I will have to start of with WBTBs of course, but if I ever get REALLY good, it would be sorta frustrating still having to get up in the middle of the night to have a lucid dream, I would so preffer just going directly into the dream state. Of course, this wont be happening for quite a while, I am sure of that.
