      Question Advice? and intro

New to lding and dreamviews so just introducing myself...
my name is Vikki, im 23 and from bayside, queens (NYC) and i came to hear about lucid dreaming when a friend recommended the movie Waking Life and was explaining the concept of lucid dreaming to me. and i was like "i've totally done that!" (Realized i was dreaming in a dream) but i never thought to try to control it. it was more like, "cool im dreaming and im aware of it" and just enjoyed it i guess.
so im really interested in learning as much as i can (ive already read sooo much in the last week or so) and trying out different techniques. as i mentioned in a different thread i just got LaBerge's book and intend on reading it cover to cover. i have had a hard time recalling dreams lately but i think that's because i tend to jump out of bed and run out of the door in the morning on account of lateness lol
Anyways, any tips from seasoned pros?

      Hey Vikki, welcome to Dreamviews!

You've probably already found them, but in case you haven't, there's a Tutorials section with information about various techniques used for lucid dreaming. You might be particularly interested in the Dream Recall tutorial.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or any of the dream guides (members with green names).

      Welcome, Vikkiro10.

Nice to meet you. You're going to love it here. This is a great community.

That's great that you already have experienced lucidity. And it sounds like you are doing what it takes to improve them and gain control. Good job.

Let us know how it goes.

      rc tips?

so just an update, my recall has drastically improved... in 3 or 4 days ive recorded 10 dreams (5 in one night!) i think this was due to having dreams on the brain after reading etwld. im having trouble doing rc's though. i think its because its counterintuitive to ask urself if ur dreaming in the waking state-at least for me.
no intentional lucids yet, but i had a sick flying dream the other night (how did i not go lucid idk) in which Dr. Cox from scrubs was trying to grab my feet and pull me down, lol. rc tips ne one?

Just read that thread, really very useful and made me realise how rubbish my checks were, at least now I know how to do them properly!
