Believe me, I know. I feel it too, many a times...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Wow... all those functions? You must have the greatest watch in all of the universe!#11! Oh yeah, I'll bet it can time travel, clean your car, eat for you, and wipe your ass too?

Too bad it doesn't tell time.

Seriously, hourly chime functions exist on every watch I know, so yours must have one.

And dagr8n8, just keep at it! It took me forever and a day to have my first lucid dream.

      nope!!!

sry i havent, i took a nap today and i thought about bennen asleep in my dream, i was on a rolar cosster but then i told my self i wasent cus i could feal my breath on my pillow, but once i woke up i knew i was dreaming.

i just bought a watch that beeps every hour although it is not very loud, will i still be able to hear it in my dreams?

what is the point of the watch, it is to bring me out of sleep a littel or have a noise that i assoiate with reality checks?

      thanks for all the input!!!

hey maybe if you could feel the breath on your pillow while you sleep your one of those people who can hear/feel external actions.

the watch sounds like a great plan!

Use the chime for reality check reminders. What you do for RCs is up to you. However if you can hear the chime while sleeping... more power to you.

I pinch my nose and try to breathe through it.. that seems like the best one for me. I have a little post-it note above my computer saying, "Am I dreaming?" and so I remember to do a RC every time I come on the computer. Looking at a watch/clock/text, looking away, and looking back at it works too.

Yeah, you can! That surprised me the first time it happened, since I figured.. if I'm so used to not being able to breathe through my noise, why should I suddenly be able to in a dream? But like I said.. it worked! We're just very.. strange in dreams.

I've been having trouble maintaining my lucidity after realizing i'm in a dream. So i'm adding the fact it's _MY_ dream to my RC. "Is this my dream?". That way hopefully I'll stay conscious in the dream for longer by telling my self it's my dream during the realization.

I've had 5 LDs that were all shorties no longer than 10 seconds. Discouraging but still progress. I wish you luck, it took me about 3 months to get this minor success. So with your commitment I'm sure you'll eventually make it.

My first LD came about by putting my index finger through my palm, a common physical RC. I didn't really practice it much in real life but really put it to use in my mind by imagining that action during my mnemonics reciting, often before bed and while trying to sleep.

my advice is to stop trying every night or stop trying as hard. it works for me . i just stop trying to ld every night and some times it will work and try telling your self some nights that you will have an ld and you will stay in it over and over.
you can't do that on the internet!.... wait yes you can do it again!
