Correct me anyone if im wrong but this dosent sound like dreaming. |

It all started when I was roughly 8 years old. I could be anywhere in my house, in day light, and be fully conscious, when my mind would phase away into a dream. I would normally be brought out of it by a member of my family who would catch me behaving erratically (e.g. small jumps). I would then feel embarrassed and vaguely remember what I was dreaming about. Now years and years on I still do it, but have learnt to cover it up. I can be at home listening to music, go into a dream, and awake standing at a different area of the room. I can also remember what I was dreaming about. I also do it at work when my mind wonders, but I will never leave my chair… I know what you all will be thinking, that I just have an over active imagination, but my whole consciousness is put into these dreams when I should be awake. If I’m not a Lucid Dreamer can anyone else advise me on what I may have? I stumbled across this forum whilst searching for the problem (if you can call it that) on google. |

You do dream while not in REM, the dreams just aren't as vivid and you're less likely to remember them. But people who lucid dream experience lucid dreams when they intentionally go to sleep, not during their day while standing or sitting up. What you're experiencing is something different. If you are actually falling asleep then this sounds like narcolepsy. And if you're not falling asleep then you're not dreaming. |

lucid dreaming is knowing you are dreaming while dreaming |
