What's the difference? Sounds like verifying could only really lead to either an FA or a real awakening.

      LD Tasks:
      [ ] Have a bloody LD
[ ] Play lead guitar and/or vocals in a rock concert with TONS of people (yeah I've been playing a lot of Rock Band lately... lol)
[ ] Beat the tar out of select people...

You don't. There aren't too many good ways to prove it, it's just like the issue of "free will".

You mean how you can tell the differennce between your dream leading you to become aware, but having no control over it to realizing your dreaming and having awareness plus control?

By the definition I'm pretty sure both count as lucid dreams. Personally I only bother calling the ones with control a lucid dream, because having no control is just as confining as a normal dream, and where's the fun in that?

You will know that you are truly awake, with control. It won't be a question, it'll just be obvious. You will make conscious decisions, think through things, choose if you want to try flying or lounging on the dream landscape. You will not or hardly be led by a 'plot' that forces you along. It will be a lot like... real life... only in your dream! Granted, you may have enhanced feelings and emotions, which is a good thing.

I think Stephen lLaberge's test proves that you are actually awake in your dream instead of dreaming your awake in your dream
