You don't. There aren't too many good ways to prove it, it's just like the issue of "free will". |

You mean how you can tell the differennce between your dream leading you to become aware, but having no control over it to realizing your dreaming and having awareness plus control? |

By the definition I'm pretty sure both count as lucid dreams. Personally I only bother calling the ones with control a lucid dream, because having no control is just as confining as a normal dream, and where's the fun in that? |
