I think Pastulia about covered it all. But remember, it takes lots of practice to get good at LD'ing, yet the more dreams you have, the more vivid they can become! Just don't get descouraged, it took me around a year and a half to have my first extremely-clear lucid dream! (I am still a newbie though, so that could have been pure luck. )

It sounds like you are distracted by being aware of your real body in bed. Try doing something to engage with your dream environment. Touching something and really focusing on what its texture feels like will normally do it for me.

With practice, you should become more comfortable with it, and you will not have that half-awake feeling where you can feel yourself back in bed.
