      My first lucid dream.

I stumbled across this website by just surfing the net and somehow I ended up here. I found it incredible that there was a such a dedication and following to having these lucid dreams. First, I was skeptical.. however after a couple weeks of keeping a dream journal and about a week or so of reality checks every now and then it happened. Last night I had my first lucid dream! Basically I found myself in my room typing on the computer but the keys were all switched around! This was my reality check.. I was so excited it was happening that I'm sure I almost woke up. Basically it wasn't that exciting, because I seemed to just wander around dreamworld for what seemed about 30 minutes. However this being my first, I hope to explore my minds boundries in the future. I just wanted to thank everyone that posted tutorials and dedicated lucid dreamers such as yourselves. Thank you!

      to DV!

That was quite a long LD for your first time. Just curious, did you feel like you were in control, or were you just going along with the flow of the dream? I've noticed that for my longer lucids I don't feel very in control (or not in control at all), but they do last longer.

Since it was my first lucid dream that I can actually recall, I was in complete control for the first part of it and then it seemed to get a little hairy towards the end, like you said, I was just going with the flow of it. What I had was obviously a DILD I think. Except it did start after I woke up in the middle of the night and fell back asleep within a couple minutes. Could this be called a WILD?

I'm your right-hand man but my schemes are left handed. I've got the world on my shoulders, a monkey on my back, my head in the clouds, and my ear to the ground. I've got stars in my eyes, my eyes on the prize, and my nose to the grindstone. A baby face, a glass jaw, a dirty mouth, a harelip, a silver tongue, and a deep throat.

Welcome to DV! What good progress, your are pretty good for just starting, great job. There are sooo many variation of Lucid induction techniques. What you did does sound similar to a WILD tho. I say, do what ever works Anyway, keep up the good work and post around, inspire people If you ever have any questions feel free to drop me a PM. Stay Lucid!
