      Smile Greetings

Hi, I'm lucidattempter25, and I'm true by my name, I've been trying to induce Lucid Dreams without much success, but I will keep trying.

Some of the techniques I've used which didn't work out so well were:

      1. Reality Checks-I liked doing them at first but then I just gave up because it just got so repetitive.

      2. Using sounds to enter your subconcious-I don't really have anything quiet enough to let me sleep or not too quiet that I'll miss the sound in my dreams.

3.Keeping a dream journal-I know this is important but I haven't been having many dreams lately, and besides I sometimes, but not always, remember only one or two things that happen in my dreams, and I'm not sure if they are worthy of putting into a dream journal.

So far all I do is be positive, knowing that someday I will have a lucid dream, listen to my brainwave cd before bed, and I also try to do the WILD technique early in the mornings.

Maybe I could try eating something, Like maybe a Peanut Butter and sandwich with a glass of milk.

      1. How can you get bored of reality checks? Something strange happens in your life, and you notice it. That alone is highly interesting, unique. The test itself is what you do after you notice.

      2. I don't understand what you are saying here. Doesn't seem to relate to lucid dreaming (unless sounds are keeping you from sleeping).

      3. This is very important. You dream multiple times per night, every night. Every dream memory should be put in the journal. That is how one builds their recall.

      :/

      Effort, please.

If a sandwich and milk created the awareness that, six hours later, we knew we were in a dream, I think we'd all be lucid by now! XD

      Good luck...!

I agree with Abra. First of all, eating those things in high enough quantities at certain points in time is supposed to help with your dream vividness, but not lucidity.

Personally, I find simple dedication to reality checking will absolutely suffice for a patient lucid dreamer. I think you should give reality checking another sincere try, and at the same time work on that dream recall so that when you do have a lucid you actually remember it! If you need help with RCing let me know, that's what I have done to get the majority of my lucids.

Well, I might remember one or two things In a dream I had, just last night I had this dream where I was in a classroom, and first the teacher was a white guy then a black guy. The black teacher then got a ball thrown in his face and that's all I remember.

Before this dream, I don't know exactly when I had this dream where I was riding a bike down a street in the middle of this neighborhood which is strange since I can't ride a bike in real life.

I'm not really sure if your dreams have to be detailed to be put into a dream journal.

Also I've decided gave reality checks another go,one rc every half hour, but I don't know if this is enough.

You know, sometimes I wonder if dream vividness can help you with lucidity, probably not,but I figure the more vivid your dream is, the more things that will stand out to let you know it's a dream.

You've got it backwards . Putting your dreams in a journal is what makes them become vivid. Start recording anything you remember, no matter how small. Once you get in the habit of writing in your journal every morning, you will find you start remembering more and more of your dreams. You'll find out how many awesome experiences you've been forgetting every night.
