Are there any more convienient LD types?

Hi, new here and have a question.

It seems like all of the LDS like WILDs and WBTBs all require you to wake up inn the middle of the night, which i am restrained from doing.

I was just wondering if there were any LD methods that you can use when going to bed at a normal time like 10 pm.

I know there is the DILD but it seems like I cant really control DILDS since they happen in your dream by chance unlike WILD which you do yourself with your concious mind.

If anyone could help, thatd be great!

(p.s. Ive had 3 Ld's all DILDS but they seemed to happen at random and werent very long at all.)

DEILD, MILD and FILD require waking up, but not for very long. That's all I can suggest. And of course you could WILD in the afternoon.

There are also various aids to make you more likely to DILD, such as setting recordings to go off during the night, binaural beats and so on (not that anyone's managed to make them work consistently or anything).

With waking up in the middle of the night, it doesn't have to be to an alarm clock. If you can train yourself to get up after you wake up naturally during the night, that would work as well. At the same time, keep in mind that waking yourself up is only one part of the process and not always necessary, depending on the person.

Take a look at the reality checks tutorial. Getting into the habit of questioning the world around you when you're awake will trickle over into your dreams and you will be more likely to catch some detail(s) that is/are out of place and could trigger lucidity. Ask yourself if what's going on at this point in time makes sense and if it doesn't, it's possible that you're dreaming.

Dream (re-)entry (DEILD) is another possibility and it worked a bit for me even before I knew what lucid dreaming was. Look into that as well.

As long as you learn how to reality check properly, you should be able to have some very nice DILDs and to control them, just takes a little practice but doesn't require messing around with your sleep schedule at all.

Classic DILD, MILD, and possibly DEILD for when you naturally wake up out of dreams.

If you ever get a chance to sleep in on a lazy weekend, go for some DEILDs. They can be really mindbending and fun. Other than that, try reality checks and logging dream signs as other people have already suggested.

Waking up in the middle of the night doesn't have to be a big production. You don't even have to leave your bed. If you can just train yourself to notice your natural brief midnight awakenings, you can use them to MILD. You wake up several times throughout the night anyways, just to roll over and forget it ever happened.
