      Was I lucid before?

Hi all, I've just found this site when I posted about my dream at a dream interpretation forum, that was, as I was told, lucid. It started like a normal dream when I realized I was dreaming and went to my flat and levitated in front of a miror. But I was so annoyed when I've realized the previous dream was just a dream! I told myself: "Great, so I've got this dream spoilt, and I don't know what to do now."

Something like this happened before, I had a normal dream, realized it's just a dream, but wanted it to continue. It did, but whenever I did something that had bad concequences, it went like save/load in games, so I had the chance to get it right. I know I told myself that in such a dream there's no point.

So I'd like to learn how to control it better, so I wouldn't stick to the old dream and start something of my own and experience it more often so I can train this. I must admit I had a very limited acces to proper thinking and waisted it a lot. I think had a few more, mainly by the time I was greatly interested in fortune telling and astral travelling, but I hardly remember some fragments and I know I wanted to keep dreaming the previous dream too. The new dream happened right after I took my tarot cards and did a bit of fortune telling after a long time. I'm inclined to see a conection here. What do you think?

You've come to the right place to learn how to control your dreams!

If you realize that your dreaming, while your dreaming, then you've become lucid.

Congrats on your lucid too! If you have any questions, don't be afriad to as me, the Dream Guide team, or anyone else who is willing to help you.

Btw, I've always like the name Lily (I prefer to spell it with one L).

      Lilly

I have the same problem sometimes. I become lucid, but can't think clearly enough to remember anything fun to try. It is frustrating. I have so many goals, but they just seem to disappear from my memory once I'm in dream-mode. It helps me to keep a firm single dream goal. I try to memorize it the same way I would memorize a short shopping list.

It also might help to learn to stabilize the dream and make yourself more lucid. If you can take a second to compose yourself and remind yourself it is a dream, you might be able to think more clearly.

      Check out the tutorials section:

Especially the ones about things like dream control, dream stabilization, and dream content.

Of course, the other guides about how to attain lucidity are great too. If you can learn to have lucids more often, you will have more practice at learning to enjoy them, right?
