      Lucid for years

Hi everyone, when i found this website and looked at all of the information, i realized that i could control my dreams and have been doing so natuarally for years. I was wondering, is there anyone else who is able to do this???

Not only are you a natural, which might as well be a superpower. You stole my name. GG DV.

Welcome to dreamviews, if you can control your dreams while lucid, then yes you are a natural. Not many people can do what you do.

Yes, there are several "naturals" here who've had lucid dreams since before they can remember, but most of the forumites here have to learn to do so, and consider a lucid a rare, fortunate event (myself included.)

By the way, welcome to Dream Views. We hope that your experiences will contribute to our understanding of the dreaming mind.

We have a few naturals. It is definitely possible, but not very common. You guys make me crazy jealous

Do you do anything specific to make this happen? Or does it just happen spontaneously? Give us some advice and tips, please

Most of us have to work for it, but there are a lucky few here who do it naturally. I know one girl who hasn't had a regular dream in years.

thanks for the welcome, before i saw this site i thought maybe everyone controlled their dreams.

There is nothing that i do to make the control happen other that wanting something to happen and saying to myself "this is going to happen" it is quite odd.
In my dreams, say i'm being chased by someone and want to lose them, i usually just believe i'm going to lose them and i do. it's hard to explain. try to be stubborn and make your dreams do what you want them to do.
I will warn you though, i don't know about other lucid dreamers but i usually don't ever feel rested after i've had a dream, so that is a sacrifice.

Sorry for stealing your name no-name. i'm #64

He never said he was a natural, just that he could control his dreams. Do you become lucid, that is, realize that u are dreaming while you are dreaming, effortlessly?

      Hi all,

I have just posted my intro so have a read about that. In my lucid dreams i can and have controlled them but mainly in what i am saying to someone in the dream, i pause like in a real conversation and think about what i want to tell this person in the dream and what information i what to give them. Kind of like a real life conversation. Other lucid dreams i realize that i am dreaming and go ok lets see where this dream i taking me.

Like No Name 64 said i also thought everyone had full on dreams, and occasionally i meet some one who say's i don't dream and have never remembered one. I feel sorry for them as my dreams can really be way out there and when i wake i will scan my brain for last nights dream. And also they can be very interesting in what i see.

Sorry to highjack No Names 64 thread, but last month my father passed away, i was at his house and saw it, so it has been doublely hard the past month, but in having lucid dreams i can also encourage dreams by thinking strongly about a certain person while going to sleep and for the last month i have been making sure that i have not been thinking about him when i went to sleep as i don't think i could handle a dream seeing and speaking with him in what i know is only a dream.

I can't give you any advice on how to lucid dream as i didn't know it was something other could do. I hope you get your wish soon. Maybe your trying to hard, maybe it just might come to you when you relax and let go.

I think you would change your mind about being jelouse if you knew that lucid dreaming from a very young age can actually make you too terrified to go to sleep for the best part of your life!

It is a bit of a revelation when you find out it happens to others and people experience what you do!

The biggest thing is realizing that you are not going to die!

Nothing natural about being scared you will die every time you feel it come on!

Must be good for those who can control it from word go.

I can make it happen if I want but new to this forum and not sure if i am lucid dreaming or not until I do a bit of research in the treads.

A Rushing pressure sound and feel in your head and ears brought on by clenching your back teeth together on and off until it does it on its own.

This sound i get without clenching my teeth when I just drift without warning.

This method doesnt work for me if i have just gone to bed but works at least 50% of the time if i am having a restless sleep.

Also works if I have broken out of the dream and want to go back.
