This is what vibrations sound like.

Here is a link to for anyone who has never experience vibrations during sleep paralysis. (hopefully it works)

      http://www.lucidology.com/obe-quicks...dology-com.mp3

This is exactly how is sounded for me a few months ago when I entered sleep paralysis in the middle of the night on accident. It is really loud, it sounds like a train is going over you and for me it felt like I was accelerating horizontally really fast.

Experienced LDer's, please correct me if this isn't what vibrations are, maybe I'm mixed up and this is a different phenomenon.

For people that have experienced this, Is it spot-on from your experience?

I would like to know how you recorded them(I di dot listen). Nevertheless, I think my vibrations are mental, they are not heard by anyone, but I would have to prove it.

I've never heard this during my vibrations, though it is a bit similar I suppose. Mine are more deep sounding and staticy, like very low and distinct white noise.

It's interesting though to get some insight on what other WILDers experience .

I didn't record this, this is from a lucid dreaming website. I put it up because of how shockingly similar it was to my experience. I guess it isn't like this for everybody though.

Ok, I see. It is scary. at least my vibrations only felt, I hear a buzzing sometimes and not always. You should be used to it now, I suppose? do you hear it always? What happens next?

I always get scared and break loose, I think I should attempt to ride with the experience, but I can't.

That's really creepy! I'm glad the vibrations I hear during Sleep Paralysis don't sound like that! Albeit, what I hear sounds a lot like a chain saw...

Hm. I have never noticed any odd occurrences for me. I didn't even realize it was called WILDing till I joined this forum last night. For me it's just like.. going back to sleep and straight into dreaming, I don't notice anything abnormal unless I'm disturbed as I'm dozing off. Then it's rather disorienting, as I realize I was still aware to some extent, but was dreaming, and it's like trying to shake a fog off to respond even though I can hear them or sometimes see things (both real and some dream). Only lasts a few seconds.

This used to baffle me because everything I read implied I could only dream that vividly in REM sleep, but I was somehow dropping straight into dreaming, even before I was fully asleep.

It's gotten to be a daily occurrence every morning to do it several times before I actually get up.

      D= Mines nothing like that.
      Mines a vibrating hum like...
When your ears ring, or sometimes like a vacuum.

I think its different for everyone.
Though, its interesting to hear what you hear!

      Question

theres so much about dreaming i didnt know about! I know if i heard that while i was sleeping i'd wake up crying. What causes these noises? And exactly how would you experience this?

That sounds a bit similar to what I hear, but it's more static-y and it goes up and down more regularly.

Mine is starting with a sine wave noise, then it gets louder and louder, then I get something similiar to this, but it's so loud, that it scares the living **** outta me, So I panic and try to wake up. then I need about 30 seconds to get out of SP.

Personaly I wouldn't call this vibrations. The vibrations usually refered to are tactile hallucinations, so you feel vibrations rather than hear them.

The hypnagogic sounds, if that's what they can even be called at that point (so close to the dream itself) can sound like that. Not to different from what I've heard. Mine was less jaggedy, more smooth, like wind.

Mine sounds nothing like that. It's more like a ringing, similar to a fire alarm.

I hear different sounds all the time. Most of the time, it sounds like a loud buzzing or humming. Like standing next to a huge neon sign, or smooth running electric motor.

Mine sound similar to that... It sounds like I'm accelerating, the noise accelerates with me... it's very loud and my body vibrates at the same time... I enjoy it.

The only time I ever started to get into SP, I was listening to a lucid MP3 (turns out I was using it wrong, it was just my extreme focus on the song*). Basically, I didn't hear anything. However, every time a loud sound happened, whether it was through the music or just a random sound, I felt a vibration. It started at my head and went down to my toes. I would have stayed with it, but I had been at it for an hour and a half (I was able to look at the clock) and I couldn't afford to lose anymore sleep on a school night.

*I believe with this, I have proven something wrong that a lot of people believe. A lot of people think that in order to WILD, or even go through SP, you need to sleep for a few hours and wake back up. I did it the second I went to bed.
