Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, Because the ground gives the way under him, And the dream begins... - Friedrich Nietzsche
I hate the thought of keeping a DJ. If you can't keep a notebook for some odd reason then you can use this forum. There two areas, one to have your DJ private and the other to show it off. You are free to choose either one or even both if you want to. |

Noticed things in my lucid dreams: Not scare of death (kinda forgotten Freddy special power of killing in dreams, opps?) Huge ego which cause me to summon monsters, most DC are useless and don't even speak.

Thanks Guys I will try that, but how does a dream journal help me remember dreams that I will have tonight? Don't they only help for past dreams? |
|
The way I see it, when you write in your DJ you will force your waking mind to think about your dreaming minds experiences. It kind of... solidifies the memory thus improving your dream recall. And when you improve your dream recall, it helps with your dream-waking recall. (Meaning, when you are asleep how well can you use your conciouss mind.) |

I used to have similar problems in my first week after I started a journal. Try as hard as i could i just could not remember my dreams when i woke. |

hey thanks ok i got my journal and had a random drema last night, but my problem is they still seem to be just a memory, cause when i'm in the dream its not like me its like me but someone else controling and im just going along with the whole dream and i never notice its not real. So how do i get over than and dream realistic dreams that feels like i was there? and don't just go so fast? Thanks! |

Practice during the day, and see if you can get it to carry over into your dream. Try to remember to stay aware of your surroundings and your senses throughout the day. Tons of things can try to steal your attention away and make you lose track of yourself. Daydreams, television, reading, videogames, hard work. Try to take little mental breaks where you bring your attention back to your body and your presence in your surroundings. Zoom out your attention to bring awareness to your body, your vision, and your thoughts. |

Try laying perfectly still with your eyes closed when you wake up, your dreaming centre will turn back on and help you fill in the parts that you've forgotten, giving you a clearer memory. Also, when yo journal, write down absolutely everythign, even if it's just a fragment. That will help train your mind to recover dream memories. |

azza, a dream journal is important because you won't be able to recognize what's really going on in future dreams if you have no idea what to watch for based on previous dreams. Keeping a dream journal will help you identify recurring events, feelings, and other dream signs that can help you realize you're dreaming in the future. |
