Hi Sianba, if in a dream you know you are dreaming, it is per definition a LD, you dont really need to quote to yourself "Hey I am having a LD". So if you had this realisation, it is a LD, else it might be a normal dream, just with a scenario that you wanted to end up in (dream incubation). It is quite easy though to lose lucidity pretty quickly, for sure if you end up having sex . Good luck with your further lucid adventures!

Congrats on having some great dreams. Sounds like you should definitely use sex as a dream sign

It sounds like your first lucid dream was a spontaneous DILD (Dream Initiated Lucid). It is fairly common for people to have these, even if they don't know what lucid dreaming is. Knowing what lucid dreaming is, and actively trying should score you a few of these. If you are remembering your dreams, you should notice these happening from time to time.

The other dreams sound like a WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid). In WILD, you don't really ever have the sudden, surprising realization you are dreaming. You just transition from waking directly into dreaming without ever losing track of yourself.

I think the difference between the two is the shock and surprise at realizing you are dreaming. In a DILD, you blatantly tell yourself that you are dreaming, sometimes even performing a reality check to be sure. In WILD, it is more of an obvious understanding, since you watch yourself enter the dream.

hi Sianba! congrats on your lucid dreams! hope you have many more!

why do you think he is a natural? naturals are ppl who have many spontaneous Ld's from early childhood and don't need any technique to have them. He used RC's combined with MILD induction- though It's very good that he had those LD's.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Congrats, and welcome to DV Sounds like you can have success with WILD and DILD techniques pretty easily! Make sure to read as much as you can, especially the tutorials, as you said when you've got time to surf around. Good luck!

sounds like you have had some good luck lately, maybe you should try keeping the frequency up. don't doubt yourself stupid, that's what you don't want to do, especially with lucid dreaming
