      What happens after a LD?

If you're aware that you're dreaming, and LucidDreams don't really last long then what happens next? Do you shift to another dream and if you do are you aware of it? Do you go from LD to LD?

Where did you hear that? I've heard of people having lucids that lasted almost an hour. They don't have to be short lived.

I don't count these as true lucids because they where not very clear, but until I have my first real lucid these will do.)

Regardless of length, what happens after a LD is the same as what happens after a non-lucid, you usually either wake up or the dream ends and you just keep sleeping. There's also the possibility of losing lucidity during the dream for one reason or another.

Another possibility SuperNova missed is you could wake up in your bed or wherever you fell asleep, within another dream. This is called a False Awakening oftentimes abbreviated FA.

      duuuuuuude I WANT THAT!

Many things can happen after a LD. Like stated above, you can wake up, go into another dream, keep sleeping, enter a False Awakening.. I've actually been able to toss myself into another dream and False Awakenings before when my LD's have begin to fade. As the LD is fading you just tell yourself that you will enter another dream.. Sometimes it works, and sometimes you end up in bed awake.. Or you end up in a False Awakening.. That is why it's a good idea to do a reality check each time you wake up.. You never know what will happen when it comes to dreams!

that's what happened to me. After a while of being LUCID, my brain decided "wait a second...." and woke me up...... That was weird. It was like being pulled from it and seeing the whole process.

I have heard of some people spending 100 years in a dream, while only 2 hours passing by in real life. So, even if a lucid dream can be short looking from real life, your perception of time is altered so it feels like it has taken a lot of time.

yeah either all of the above or you die. some ppl die from their first LD that's why so many newbies don't return
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus

You know, scaring away new people from lucid dreaming by making false statements is not a good thing. Are you aware of that?
