I had a really wierd experience last night

      Well this morning:
I was looking at a fan above my bed ( it didn't occur to me at the time that I actually do not have one) and I noticed the color and shape of the light to warp. I assumed I was lucid dreaming and looked at my hand and counted 6 fingers. I said to myself, "Well its about damn time" and as I leaned to get out of bed, I woke up in real life.
During the whole experience had a great tingly feeling all over my body,
      Was this it?

First off, congrats on your lucid dream!

Secondly, the tingly feeling you had was do to Sleep Paralysis.. It's basically when you body shuts down while you are sleeping so when you dream, your waking body isn't acting it out..

So close! Normally, in a situation like that, you can drift back to sleep and re-enter the dream. Don't be fooled by a false awakening, too. It is common to have several in a row when you wake up from a lucid dream.
