Yes, something in my dream has been related to something before in real life. I was bounicing on my bed in my dream (not to be confused with jumping, just me JERKING up and down KNEELING on my bed), and I woke up, and was breathing hard. My chest was moving. The part before that wasn't that scary, I was just calling my mom, and she wasn't coming.
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Yeah what snow egypt said, a hypnic jerk.

I have those feelings sometimes... and I kinda hate it.

At the same time, I think it's kind of cool.

Like I have some kind of dream where I'm falling or just drifiting to sleep then suddenly, WHAM, and I'm like woah...

When I fly in dreams, I get the rollercoaster feeling in my stomach when I go up and down in the air. I also tend to inhale to get myself higher and exhale to go lower...I think that comes from being a scuba diver.

Sometimes I'll be dreaming that I'm eating something like a cheeseburger or pizza, and when I wake up I'll be grabbing for it. Sometimes even hallucinating and seeing the food for a few seconds. =D

Then I'm hungry and can't go back to sleep until I eat.

Gah...Had one in the middle of Statistics this afternoon. I managed to pass it off as something stabbing me in the back, but still embarrassing nonetheless. Somehow I knew it was going to happen because I was trying for the life of me not to fall asleep in class... -___-

This happened to a friend of mine in english one day! He was sitting at his table, dozing off, and then flails around like a madman with this absolutely panicked look on his face! It was pretty funny...
But more to the point; yes, I've experienced hypnic jerk many times before (a couple times in class ), but it usually happens if I'm falling asleep reading or studying in bed or on the sofa...
      ...And then to dream...
