Thread: Has this happened to anyone else??

I remember a long time ago, I think I this lucid dream that i was just constantly free falling. It lasted for a few minutes and suddenly I just hit the ground and I woke up. When I woke up it felt like I was bouncing on the bed, cause there was still some movement. It happened when I was younger, say 8 years old?

Has this happned to anyone else? Like you dream you are doing something, and when you wake your doing that thing, or something related to it? Kinda like sleep walking or something.

Has anyone felt a very strange feeling in their stomach when falling long distances in dreams?

Yeah, is it like when you go on a freefall ride at the theme park? Like that stomache dropping feeling?

Ya this happens to me in the car sometimes or when I am just drifting off to sleep.

I've heard of this happening to a bunch of people, but I haven't personally experienced it. Unless you count that time when I was holding a sticker in a dream and then when I woke up (still half asleep though) it faded out of my hands. It was weird.

By the way you describe it, it sounds like a Hypnic Jerk.

YES

Yes, something in my dream has been related to something before in real life. I was bounicing on my bed in my dream (not to be confused with jumping, just me JERKING up and down KNEELING on my bed), and I woke up, and was breathing hard. My chest was moving. The part before that wasn't that scary, I was just calling my mom, and she wasn't coming.

I have those feelings sometimes... and I kinda hate it.

At the same time, I think it's kind of cool.

Like I have some kind of dream where I'm falling or just drifiting to sleep then suddenly, WHAM, and I'm like woah...
