My WILD and sleep paralysis form last night - help needed

Lately it's really easy for me to have lucid dreams and control them completely, so in my LDs I usually fly, listen to heavenly music, feel very happy and ecstatic and just enjoy myself. But last night, when I attempted and suceeded in having a WILD (It's actually very easy for me) I has some problems with sleep paralysis - it took me around four or five false awakenings (or real ones, I'm not sure) in which I wasn't able to move or open my both eyes, only my right eye. So every time this happened, I would just go back to sleep and try to relax and imagine this big ball of golden light in my heart chakra. It somehow made me feel safe and protected but it took me a lot of time to fall asleep and become lucid. And finally, when I did, my dream was not so beautiful and relaxing as my LDs usually are. It was pretty dark and I couldn't control my dream even I was completely lucid. So, the question is, how do I stop this irritating sleep paralysis and gain control over my LDs again?

      Thank you for your help

Sleep paralysis is natural. Is it new to you? A lot of people have difficulty trying to achieve it.

Actually, it happened a couple of times before. The strange thing is, I'm always lying on my back when that happens and usually I have some hallucinations (like hearing my own voice echoing in my head telling me to wake up etc). It's not really a pleasant experience. Do you have any advice on how to avoid SP? It's scaring the hell out of me :S

If you begin to feel SP, I suggest physically getting up out of bed and staying awake for a few minutes. Then lay back down to bed and hopefully you won't fall into SP again. I remember before I knew about LDing, I was freaked out about SP as well. I used to get up and go sleep somewhere else. Sometimes it came back and I had to get myself up again. You could try splashing water on your face, or something else to get yourself nice and woken up. You could also try sleeping with music playing or the t.v. on. Good Luck to you!

To avoid sleep paralysis during my WILDS, I try to focus my attention away from my body. If I'm focused on something like breathing or a particular part of my body, I will get bizarre SP and body distortions. I try to imagine a new 'dream body' for myself that is separate from my real body. I imagine it in a scene doing something familiar and easy to visualize.
