Technically, you can induce sleep paralysis at anytime, and perhaps even experience some cool HH, but to lucid dream, you have to WILD at a certain time. For most people, that "butter zone" is right after they've slept for 4-6 hours. Of course, this does not mean that you have to try to WILD right after waking up; you could put it off for an hour, or two, and I've heard even five. Basically, you want to try to WILD when your brain is in the middle of or expecting a relatively long REM period. Not a WILD expert, but I've also heard of WILD naps. I would guess, however, that they'd still be in the butter zone. (Between 0 and 5-ish hours after waking from their 4-6 hour sleep session).
Good luck to you!
