Can you have a WILD any time?

I read that having a WILD can be done the easiest with the Wake and back to bed theory, but I wondered if you can have a WILD whenever you like. So that if its like 3 o'clock and you feel you could sleep you could try to have a WILD.

Technically, you can induce sleep paralysis at anytime, and perhaps even experience some cool HH, but to lucid dream, you have to WILD at a certain time. For most people, that "butter zone" is right after they've slept for 4-6 hours. Of course, this does not mean that you have to try to WILD right after waking up; you could put it off for an hour, or two, and I've heard even five. Basically, you want to try to WILD when your brain is in the middle of or expecting a relatively long REM period. Not a WILD expert, but I've also heard of WILD naps. I would guess, however, that they'd still be in the butter zone. (Between 0 and 5-ish hours after waking from their 4-6 hour sleep session).

      Good luck to you!

That would be the 5 hour thing you were talking about, get up in the morning, awake for 5 hours till afternoon, then nap WILD.

Through my experience, I believe the best times for WILDing are:
WBTB - after 4+ hours of sleep. (6 hours is a good target time for a beginner)
Naps - 1-5 hours after waking in the morning. I have, however, had success with WILDing later than 5 hours, but it was usually because I didn't get proper sleep the night before.

I suggest playing around with the times so you can see what works best for you. Good Luck!

No, you can only do it during REM periods.
This is usually in the early morning, or during the afternoon for a nap.
But you can get sleep paralysis anytime, if you are going for an OBE/astral projection.

yea some people argue that there is no such thing as astral projection, and that it is just a different kind of lucid dream. I've experienced this and do not agree.
