I'm just gonna echo what others have said and say that lucid dreaming most likely has no drawback in terms of rest. After all, the few naturals you see that lucid dream every single night don't seem to be affected, so why would the rest of us? And if it is so unhealthy, I would think the subconscious would step in, like lunar6 said. I find the discussion of DMT and Tibetan beliefs fascinating too, but I guess there's a separate thread for that now. :)
