      Peeks in....

      Hi,

I just found this site yesterday. Looks pretty cool. I've been Lucid Dreaming for as long as I can remember, though not with any great amount of control. Lucid dreaming comes naturally to me, but I guess you could say I'm lazy. Normally, when I become Lucid I'm either flying (floating really), exploring a condemned house, or talking with my mother in some bizarre location. I've also managed to achieve one WILD (willed induction, right?), but it didn't last longer than a few seconds.

I recall about 50% of my dreams depending on how much social pressure I'm under. I dream in full color. Sometimes my dreams are audible, other times they are not. I am a writer, and sometimes I read and write in my dreams.

I'm here because I'd like to learn greater control over my abilities. I'm interested in both MILD and WILD techniques. My biggest problem right now is that I normally wake up once I realize I'm lucid. I know that I need greater discipline. I'm a smoker and need to become more healthy in general so I'll have greater success with meditation as a precursor to WILD's. I also need to establish a dream sign, and work on RC's.

I'm interested in being adopted by someone who has successfully overcome the temptations of this world (to any degree) I'm looking for a mentor who can encourage me to become more healthy and disciplined and walk me through the process of having sustained LD's.

      Thanks,
      Startripper

Edit: Okay, Wake Initiated ... my bad

Welcome! A dream journal is a good place to locate dream signs! I'm a writer but rarely do I find myself writing in my dreams. I'm curious to know what you write. I wish you luck with the health part, smoking probably doesn't help LD's - I recommend reading up on the tutorials, I find starting with DILD works best. But you said you were experienced so move over to MILD and then WILD.

      Good luck with your journey!

Hey. Thanks for the welcome. I wrote a story in a dream once, but, unfortunately, it was too difficult to recall the entire text. Of the entire story, I only remembered a few lines. I should have written down what I remembered of it as soon as I woke up, but, like I said, I'm lazy. Now, I can't remember any of it. If I tried, I would only be making it up. I only remember that, upon waking, I was amazed that I had written something so complicated in a dream. I do remember a lot of what I've read in dreams though.

Improve your recall (by writing detailed entries in your dream journal), and then post a new Kubla Khan~

      Welcome to Dreamviews.
