      hey

Hey. I just joined this site so obviously im new lol. But ive been reading on how to recall dreams and have complete lucidity. Get this. Last night (January 3rd, 2010.) I had a dream that i briefly remember. All i remember was that i was at this store in a mall ive never seen before and my bestfriend was there. We hugged for no apparent reason which sounds weird but hey, its a dream lol. I had a question which was most likely already answered but...
How should you jot down your dream in a dream journal? Really there's no light so how would you see what you write? Would turning on a lamp effect your train-of-thought? Well i am off to bed

I usually either turn on a light or go by a window if the sun is up yet with no problem.

I type the text in my cellphone in "Saved Text Messages" . It's handy: fast and you've got a source of light
It works for me, since I jot down the things I remember most, when I read it during the day, I easily recall rest of the details of my dream, which were not originally included in text message.
      ....have a lucid dream tonight...

Put a lamp right beside your bed you DO NOT GET OUT and turn it on, grab your nearby DJ again so you DO NOT GET OUT and write it.

That's the general statement at least. My DJ is on the computer. Way more organized, faster to write, and easy. I use Banhurt's dream journal

I always try remember a short sentence then quickly write it down - 9/10 chance I will recall the majority of the dream in the morning. I remember one time though, waking up with an entry I don't even remember writing,,, creepy stuff

Just keep a Dream Journal, get into the habit. It'll get better as you go.

That's alright, one time I had a false awakening where I thought I wrote an entry down... I woke up in the AM fully expecting it to be there and it wasn't! That puzzled me for a few moments...

If I start slipping on my recall, a mantra as I'm falling asleep seems to work for me. I just repeat to myself "I will remember my dreams" over and over until I fall asleep. Also I use an eye mask/sleep blinders, because the sunlight affects my ability to recall.

      me too

but I remember drawing a picture of a puppet in my dream journal (sometimes I draw pictures of scenes or characters in my dreams) and I woke up to look for it and it wasn't there...

I had five dreams recalled last night.

Will write them when I get home from school. Made me angry. Dream Signs were not picked up!
