      Talking Hey Guys!

      Hey guys
I'm so glad I found this forum. It seems like an amazing community and it’s comforting to know that other people are just as interested, if not more interested in the potential of lucid dreaming. Most people I have brought it up to give me a troubled look or don't know what the hell I’m talking about. I wasn't referred to this forum by anyone, and I didn't really know what a lucid dream was until I had a WILD for the first time in my early years of high school. I've always been pretty good about remembering my dreams when I wake up. I usually don't remember what my dreams were when I first wake up, but usually something is brought up throughout the day that reminds me of my dream from the previous night. I think this is because a lot of the time the stuff I do in my dreams seems like something I did yesterday or last week and I don't realize it was a dream until I'm like, "wait...I remember doing that! But...that's not possible...oh wait, it was one of my dreams last night." Anyhow, I really became interested in lucid dreaming when I was a sophomore in high school and lost interest until being in college now. I got pretty good at inducing WILD's because that's really the only way I've been able to enter a dream and still be fully aware that it's a dream. I've had a few dreams where I realize I’m dreaming, but usually I can't control the dream too well. They usually just kind of flow from place to place and I'm just along for the ride. I have had a few lucid dreams where I could fly or imagine a tangible object and have it appear a short time after, but usually I just remember my dreams. Sometimes I find it hard to enter a lucid dream when I hit SP though . Often times I feel myself going into sleep paralysis and it's almost a feeling of like...intense pressure on my body during the transition and it almost feels like my eyes go into REM because they start moving around rapidly which makes it hard to stay calm and I often end up moving. Usually when I start to enter SP I hear an extremely loud silence (sounds weird, I know, but it's almost a deafening silence). Other times I'll hear music or whispers or sounds that seem really close to my body that scare me out of SP lol. Usually once I hit the point of SP I'll move and snap out of it then realize I almost transitioned and I can induce SP within a matter of seconds as long as I don't get up or start thinking about too much. The other night I had a LD and the transition was really cool. Suddenly I was staring at my ceiling and then it turned into the night sky and I saw a few shooting starts until I stood up and went exploring. I really don't think I've had a full on lucid dream yet though. I've never been fully aware I was asleep while having complete control over what goes on in the dream. I'm going to start trying every night for the next two weeks or so to induce a full LD since I'm still on break from school. Hopefully I can fine tune my ability to slip into a LD and experience the true wonders of the mind and its complexities. I'm super excited Happy dreaming! - Discord

Well let me be the first to say Welcome to Dreamviews, Discord!

And you seem to be pretty experienced. That's always good. Do you mind my asking how you accidentally did a WILD? Or did you know about it already that first time?

And in SP there is bound to be a bunch of freaky ass stuff going on. Hallucinations and whatnot. I've still yet to reach it, but it sounds dreadful.

Hope your DV stay is a long one!
