      From SP to WILD

Alright, I'm asking you guys to help me solve this problem

You see, I've always had a tendency to get SP. When I was younger, they were all almost scary..you know succubus thing and suffocation feeling. Now when I practice attaining lucid dreams I have almost full control of SP and I gain it easily after a wake in the middle of the night.

The thing is I cannot get WILD. When I lay there all paralyzed, full awake, I try to observe my body, focus on any HH occuring and stay aware of the fact that I'm about to fall asleep/ or I'm already asleep.
To convince myself that I'm already dreaming I visualize many things involving movement of my body (while forgetting that my body is paralyzed). So I visualize flying across my room, or running, swimming, or even having sex (with sexy chick obviously ) etc.

There are the moments that my body responds and give signs that I'm just about to fall asleep (REM state): my body's tingling/ twitching, I observe change in my breath pattern (I breath faster) and I feel my eyes move involuntarily. Then I keep this thought "I have to maintain state of awareness, I have to be conscious".

When I keep that thought in mind I expect it to work, but instead I cannot get any feeling of "shift/ transition" into state of dreaming. Then I'm aware that my REM is fading away and I regain state of wakefullness.

So I resign and I just forget about necessity of keeping consciousness and then I fall sound asleep, with no lucidity apparent. Still, I get lucid later on during my sleep. So I infere from it that these are just simple DILDs.

I hope you get what I mean, it's hard for me to explain this
Do you have any suggestions guys? Thx in advance

Well, if your failed attempts at WILD end up being lucid dreams anyway, then why let technicalities bother you?

Perhaps this intense focus on lucid dreaming, followed by allowing yourself to fall asleep unconsciously ("giving up at WILD") is your secret to success. I'd roll with it!

It's just that I think having control over WILD is more probable than in case of DILD. I mean occurence of WILD depends on your skill, while DILD depends on recognizing randomly occuring evidence (dreamsign).
