Question What in the World is a DC?

Trying to puzzle it out. Never ever EVER heard of such a thing.

      What is it?!

      Thanks in Advance.

-does a double take- Wow, first Jen777, now Ninja. When I first saw your name, I thought you were Ninja (with some numbers that I don't remember) the dream guide.

Sorry for the tangent. DC is short for dream character, which is basically any character in your dreams, as the name implies.

DG means dream guide, which is a special type of dream character that guides you in your dreams (bet you couldn't have guessed that one ). They can help you and give you advice, and often know more about your dreams than you do. Some people think they're a link to your subconscious or some sort of spiritual guide. Personally, I think they're only important because you make them so, but to each their own.

There are also staff members on this site called dream guides (like the other ninja I mentioned), who are knowledgeable about dreams and help new members.

      Anyway, welcome to DV! =)

      Wow, that's spooky...the names, I mean.

But yeah, just a Dream Character. A note of warning: they can be very sneaky, and like to trick you out of lucidity. I've had this happen to me before...oh, and if you ask them if you're dreaming or not, they'll probably say "no, you're awake." DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM (usually)! They are lying pus-bags (well, for me, anyway). It is fun, though, to wreak havoc on their world.

Lol Ninja, there's no need to be afraid of DC's. Remember that it's all in your head, so they'll behave however you expect them to. In fact, if you really expected them to, I bet your DC's would tell you when you're dreaming. That's a bit hard, though, since in real life if you asked someone if you're dreaming they'll either look at you like you're crazy or say no.

*nods* Okay. It just sounds so scary - it's like watching a horror movie and knowing it's not real, but when you hear the "Grudge sound" you scream like a little girl. *sweatdrop*

And yeah, I agree with the whole crazy thing. ^V^

Thanks! And that is helpful...I've been seeing some abbreviations on this site that are so confusing.

      No worries (about the names).

-high five- I'm also a ninja fan. =)

If you haven't already, you should definitely take a look through the tutorials. Lots of good info.

Yay! I was surprised this name wasn't taken, though. O_O

I checked them out last night, it's kind of funny b/c normally I have good dream recall but after trying to learn how to improve it I couldn't remember any dreams!!! >0<
