Okay, I haven't tried to get into a lucid dream, but here's something I want to take advantage of... It's what I like to call the SIOE. (slip in and out experience) You know when you're just laying there, trying to get to sleep, but you start hearing voices and other things about every 7 seconds? That's what I'm talking about. Here are the two methods I recommend to get there...
Method #1: Lay down in any comfortable position and relax yourself. DON'T MOVE AT ALL. Imagine yourself in the air with your legs and arms spread. Now, visualize yourself flying forward at EXTREME SPEED. Feel the wind and hear it. This will probably cause you to feel over-heated (nervous heat) and your heart might feel like it's beating a lot faster. It's very easy to go along with it. Now, here's where it gets a bit tricky, but still fairly easy. What you need to do is keep yourself concentrated on the visualization. Keep yourself in the visualization and don't get out of it. What I mean is that you need to keep your thoughts away from your physical senses and to keep your thoughts on your visualization. After that, you should probably do method 2.
Method #2: (By my friend, Bryson Garrett) For about 2 minutes, think about something that you really love. Let your conscience speak about the certain thing and stuff. After you've concluded your little loved-one thing, breathe slowly and count your breaths. When you get to about 50 to 100, you should be pretty dozey. Do you hear the voices or sounds? If so, good. I'm going to try and take advantage of this tonight.
TAKING ADVANTAGE: After you've heard maybe 7 hallucinations, try taking advantage of the SIOE by thinking about what you'd like to dream about. Remain calm and before doing that, make your conscience say that you will remain calm when you get in the dream. When you get in the dream, STAY CALM and you should remain in it. Let me know if this worked and what you did.
