Thread: First week, making progress

Hello LD world. I found the site via stumble and started all over again after trying to use the wiki page to learn the ropes. Thanks DV!

I have my dream journal starting Sat. and running through last night. I read all the tutorials and I have been trying to focus on dream signs and doing reality checks. So far my dream signs are cats, keys, dead grandmother, ex-girlfriends, and water (lots and lots of water)

My reality checks have included looking at my feet when I got sluggish, can't-walk-no-matter-how-hard-I-try feeling I stared at my feet and saw they were tangled in briars. Then I was driving a new car and started to lose focus and control and I focused on my hands and gripped the steering wheel tightly.

When I was holding a key I stared hard at the shape and then noticed that the lock had the same shape. The water was doing all kinds of weird things; running backwards, not really wet, cold or hot, etc. I focused on the water and tried to swim realistically instead of just floating in it.

My best effort was giving a lecture on the Mandelbrot Set and actually remembering the formula and writing it on the chalk board.

I cannot remember to rub my hands together yet - still trying. Want to spin as soon as I can - hasn't come up yet.
