It sounds like you need a little more perserverance. I personally don't 'quit' until I've laid there for an hour without any sign of success. I've had WILD's before that didn't kick in for a good 45 minutes of lying perfectly still. |

i went to bed last night at about 9:45. and i woke up at about 4:15 i only opened my eyes for about 3 seconds then i closed them and attempted a wild. i didnt see any hypnogogia nor did i feel any heaviness, actually i felt a my legs become heavy but i knew i could move them if i wanted to. it was like my legs became heavy for about 30 seconds then they stopped.I repeated in my mind that if i can see then i am dreaming becuase i know that i wont feel SP or see any hypnogogia and i will just skip into a dream, i stayed still for another ten minutes then i decided that it was a failure. so i quit. (plus it was really realy uncomfortable/tired) it was 4:30 when i went back to sleep. |

The ability to happily respond to any adversity is the divine.

There is more to WILDing than just lying in bed and waiting. If that was all it was, people would be having spontaneous WILDs left and right. To successfully WILD, You need to figure out a mental excercise that puts you in the right state of mind. Something that eases you into a trance-like state without putting you to sleep. Read through some peoples WILD guides to see some examples, but eventually you need to find something that works for you. |
