Who else has found reverse blinking to be fruitless?

I have never had a lucid dream despite my longitudinal attempts and of all the methods I have come across WILD seems the most appealing to me. In search of a slightly less conscious state, I employed this RB technique and, after 10s of minutes at a time, have been blessed with no success.

I would really like to see what percentage of people cannot make this work for them, and hope I'm not alone, yet in an overwhealming minority. Our brains are all fundamentally the same so I remain yearnful to one day master this self-hypnosis.

This inability is ironic in a way, as I consider myself to be quite suggestable and am often finding myself mimicking the bodylanguage of people around me. My difficulty lies in field of conscious responsibility, I can barely say anything in my head without carrying the soul of the words on my breath lol, and am virtually incapable of focusing either on nothing or anything - for more than a few seconds, that is if 'nothing is happening'.

I discovered reverse blinking here and so have already seen the 2006 thread, and just really want a few tips, conformation that it is actually achievable and, perhaps most of all, inspiration to continue with full force and enthusiasm.

      Hello!

Hi, if a technique still isn't working after a long time and it gets you frustrated, try something else. Have you tried the traditional DILD? MILD? Also, how is your dream recall? It's the basis of everything, you should at least be able to recall one dream a night.

wasn't there that thing where you close your eyes hard, roll them 4 times in each direction, then relax your eyes and they stay closed?

Reverse blinking has a very small, but negligible effect on me.

No, it's when you close your eyes and open them very briefly every ten seconds or so.

I know what reverse blinking is, I was refering to something else.

The effects of an orgasm on the eyes?

Reverse blinking doesn't help me, placebo hardly works either unfortunately.

It works wonders, for me. Maybe it is because I am very visual. I have a hard time turning off my visual imagination when I am trying to lose myself to sleep. Reverse blinking seems to help interrrupt the images in my mind's eye.

I tried reverse blinking with the reverse blinks at shorter intervals, and they kind of worked.

I haven't had much experience with this, but it has helped with putting me to sleep. I have heard about some promising results from others though.

I just don't understand how opening and closing your eyes every few seconds is supposed to send you to sleep... It just doesn't add up...
