A few questions

Hey there, just another newbie. ^^ There were a few questions I was wondering about...

What's the easiest or most effective way to get your first LD?

Though I randomly did go lucid in a dream once, it lasted all of a few seconds, and went back to a normal dream. Is that normal?

Do LDs increase the chance of sleep paralysis?

the most effective way to get an LD i think depends on you personally there are many ways try some and see which ones work best such as WILD DILD. for me i just do reality checks and write in a dream journal. the first time i tried lucid dreaming i immediately had a licid but i was only lucid for about 10 seconds so thats normal its a good start. and about the LD's and sleep paralysis from what i know i don't think just having an LD increases sleep paralysis

If you are WILDing, LDs do increse chance of sleep paralyzis, if not, they don't, effectiveness depends on you as it's been stated, though if you get natural SP, maybe WILD is for you.

As already said its quite up to personal preference. If your trying to get a Lucid dream on demand, I'd recommend the old fashion WILD or FILD, personally I've had a good amount of success with FILD.

And with anyone new I'd recommend heading to Tutorials and Attaining Lucidity Forums, atleast once If you havent done so already.

Lucid Dreams do Increase the chance of SP (I'm not even sure if you can get it while awake without having a lucid dream prior), Infact the second time I had a Lucid (back before I knew what they were) I awoke paralyzed, with the sound of someone screaming down the hall, but It went away fairly quickly.
