Smile hi im new, any advice

hi everyone im new i registered for 5 min ago
my name is magnus i live in sweden
      im 15 years
i just got home from thailand (i was there for a month)
and theres 2 MONTHS untill school a perfect timing to start training
yesterday i discovered about lucid dreaming
it sounded very good so i couldnt resist it (i discovered it by google when i was gonna search how to control your pc whit your voice then i saw control your dreams, xD yaa i didnt se any bad in it so i tryd)
xd and it sounded very good!
i have downloaded dream journal and i learned it now i can use it

so every night i go sleep early (but not to early)
i drink a half glass (hope i spell right) of water and tell myself to lucid dream and remember it (right?,i hope its not just a myth)
then i lye down and just relaxing
and only tinking on that im gonna lucid dream and then remember it... not to much cause then i cant relax and not to little cause then other thing goes into my mind
      then i fall aslepp

when i wake up (i heard that you are suppose to set an alarm to wake up early, you tink its a good idea?)
i lye in my bed for about a min and change position (i read that it might make me remember more easy if im in a position that i had under a dream) then i go up and "empty"? the glass of water... right...?
      then...
i start my computer then start dj (dream journal) and write the dream...
later i will se signs in all (or many) of my dreams that re happening

and im tinking of buying a digital clockthe hourchime, so that i can do reallity checks
and if somheting strange happens in really world then i do reallity checks...

and then i should maybe do it on sigs in dreams
but it problably take a looong time

ok first of all i often play games to 00:00
wich is bad if im gonna lucid as i get to little sleep...
so first of all im gonna stop playing at 20:00 the problem is that it will still take hours untill i fall asleep, any tips?

second, did i get anything wrong on ewerything that i writed first?

thrird, i would be VERY happy if i got some advice from people how masters lucid and some that just got the skill (if you drop by)

hello magnus, welcome to dream views!

Yes lucid dreaming is very fun to do! And having the summer to learn is even better! You sound like your on the right track! And you are right you should wake up early, its called doing a Wake-Back-To-Bed (WBTB), because you purposely wake your self up to go back to sleep, and it is very good to do. When you go back to bed make sure you tell yourself that you want to have a lucid dream until you fall asleep.

As far as when you sleep, its better to have a routine down but, you know I think as long as you get 8 hours it really wont matter when you go to bed as long as you can wake yourself up after 6 hours of sleep to do the WBTB. so if you can adjust when you do your WBTB to when you fall asleep you should be fine. Just remember you have a greater chance of having a lucid dream in the later hours of sleep so its important to get 8 or 9 hours.

      Good luck! hope this helps!
