      Need help with job

Ok so I recently got my learners permit for a motorbike because I love it, for one, but also because I am thinking about becoming a postie (mailman if you don't use that abbreviation).

Ok the problem is, I have had one job before, working at a supermarket for about 4-6 months or something. I'm guessing that would look shit on a resume especially since it was in 2006 or something lol

So the application asks me "If you have never worked before please provide the reason why here"

What the hell do I say?

I have anxiety problems and couldn't handle the stress of working while going to uni at the same time? Would that be bad?

I want this job because you start early and finish fairly early. Which suits me because I want to become a freelance illustrator, so with this job I'd have time to work on illustration while also earning a steady income.
So any help is greatly appreciated.

I really just don't know what to say without it sounding like I'm lazy or something.

Nothing, Its says if you've never had a job. If they ask you in the interview, explain to them you were going to university.

I can't say nothing. Because I basically haven't had a job before. Do you think going to uni is a good answer?

I did work over the summer for about 2mos, and have done that job twice. I put it on my resume and for the "reason for leaving" I put "School starting." Legit answer. I would put something like "Needed to focus on school" or something similar. They will not fault you for dropping work to continue your education... and if they do... maybe you don't want to work there, lol

I don't understand why you don't want to put down that you worked in a supermarket.

Many companies will overlook the job anyway, if you note that it was a part time position to support your studies at university. I'm pretty certain, unless a specific placement, that a lot of companies wouldn't be interested. Put it down, but say that it was a part time role to support your university education. No point lying about it.

      Ok thanks heaps guys.

I'm thinking about not doing that anymore. I've heard really bad shit about the company. I'm gonna just get a pizza delivery job hopefully and after I get some experience I'll apply for a better delivery job for another company.
