I woke up too early and the day's going by too slowly. How is it only 4pm? I want it to be later so I can drink. I'm going to get very, very drunk tonight - I can sense these things. Drunk and alone, and depressed. I'll probably make some posts and e-mail some people and regret it all.

Thursday and Saturday are weekend nights for me too. Also, Gavin, I'm older than you and am an independent human capable of deciding whether or not I drink.

Wow. I have utterly no clue as to what is taking place in this thread.

I just went to see if I could find a picture of a dog being hit on the nose with a newspaper. This one's good enough I guess.

Remember the days when losing your virginity was a big deal before losing your cellphone? And how when you got your first kiss by accident, it was even a more horrible experience than losing a phone.

People make so many jokes about how when their friends fall and trip, they laugh, but when their phones drop they go all SOAP opera style with the crying.

But as long as we live in a world with supply and demand and items are valued more than people, we will have to watch ourselves fall.

Well, I'm not appalled that you drink, that's fine, but I'm a bit concerned for you when you describe yourself as an alcoholic.

Except she's not an alcoholic. That level of drinking takes years to master.

All jokes aside, my toe is KILLING me. Freaking thing is ingrown AGAIN. Soo, making an appointment soon and getting it ripped off for good. Fuck this, the doctors told me removing the nail would cause more infections. The hell to that, this is the fourth time in a little over a year that it's ingrown and infected -.-

I have Ativan, and I'm fighting an overwhelming urge to take some. It's higher than my regular benzo dose and it's not the one I've taken regularly so it'll have noticeable effects, and lorazepam is the only benzo I've ever actually liked (it makes me feel more like stoned as opposed to drunk like other benzos do). It won't be the end of the world if I take it, but if I do I'll more than likely have rebound anxiety tomorrow. Is pleasure now worth pain later? I also worry that after it kicks in I'll be compelled to crack open a beer, a combination that I'd be nervous about right now but probably wouldn't once the Ativan hit....

That's... not exactly great for you liver. I strongly suggest not taking either the beer or the drugs, but if you're gonna take something, take the beer. east you can do that in moderation :/

Well, I would do it that way but I really don't have any desire to have beer by itself.... The Ativan seems much more attractive because it'll actually help with some of my default background-level anxiety, which beer no longer does for me. And the thing is if I drink and get into the mood of being even more fucked up I can just keep drinking and drinking and drinking.... I only have these couple Ativans. If I stay away from the beer I'll be fine, and I've had a Xanax prescription before so I think I'm probably just overestimating the danger of me wanting to mix them, I tend to keep a good level of self control when I'm just doing things by myself. (With friends is a different story.) I don't know.

well... as long as you stick to one... but don't be doing both of them at once!

That's fine. It depends on the definition of an alcoholic. I'd rather not be labeled one.

Why do you keep saying you are one then?

Keep? I've pretty much just started using that term. It was my parents who did first, and I think, maybe I am, since I do drink a lot. I really don't know the technical definition though.
