Eh, I like cloudy rainy days. The hell to snow, it's to bright and cheerful :/

Anyway, I feel like super giddy rid right. I feel like... twichty and shit, and I don't like this feeling. I think it's because I want a beer very much. Like in the worst way Bah! I hate addictions.

I just slept for pretty much 12 hours straight. A little too long, but I kind of feel like the last week has been one long day. I'm still stressed, but at least it feels bearable now.

I have not even had the desire to drink in over a week.

      Spoiler for ...:

      Cliffs version:

It's time to buy textbooks, which means waiting in line for a long ass time only to find that when it's your turn, they don't have your order even though you have the order form and evidence RIGHT in front of you.

      I hate the word "swagger"

You can't get any books online? I saved a couple hundred bucks this semester for that. (Not so much "saved" though since it was already my money...)

      I got a 150 dollar Sociology book for 15 dollars as a rental... Chegg.com

Textbook prices are fucking ridiculous, here at least, and I swear they're increasing every year. I bought two this semester (and a third, $30 student solutions manual) and the total came to:

Lol, my physics text book was around $250 at the school store when I could have got it from amazon for $150.

I know I can get an online text for at least two of them (I have to find some way to buy the online package without the hard copy because I already have it; and that's going to be a bitch since I have to go up to the ditzy customer service in the college bookstore)

LOL. One solutions manual was $60+

Total came out to be like 300+ bucks (and that's for "used only" for most of them, which most likely isn't going to happen, just for like 4-6 books and manuals in total. Last semester it cost me $500+ and I wasted like $73 for other books I thought I needed as a supplement to help me in Biochemistry.

AND LOL 2? lmfao I thought it was horrible here.

The thing is with this university, they force you to buy the books, and make it complicated to buy the online versions, fucking scumbags.

And when you go to the class, the professor says you only need the online version despite in the syllabus "TEXTBOOK REQUIRED" .___.

No. You buy the books, online. Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more https://www.chegg.com/

They ship them to you and you use them, and in most cases they are half-price or cheaper! (Example, 15 dollar rented book that is normally 150 dollars.) I just have to send it back at the end of the semester... but I did buy one to KEEP and it was still half-price.

Trust me, Amazon was the first thing I went to, they don't have them. (Especially lab manuals) (They don't have books to rent either).

I bought two AP biology textbooks last year for AP bio, which I ended up having to drop because the school's stupidly-arranged schedule put the class up against art, which I had to take instead. I then bought more textbooks for AP chemistry this year, which I also ended up dropping, down to regular chemistry. I figured I could still use them in regular, so I kept them instead of returning them... A couple days later I dropped chem entirely and took art again. x_x Hundred and fifty-something dollars down the drain.

When I lived on campus everyone who worked at our college bookstore was an acid dealer. Urgh, you've reminded me though, I need to get textbooks. :T Sigh, there's more money spent....

No thanks. I was trying to get rid of the addiction all break.
It might be because I've been sleeping from 7pm-11pm, and it's hard to feel like drinking when I wake up. I'm stopping that sleep schedule now though, so maybe it will come back.

Oh textbooks.... memories. The worst thing is when you don't use them even once and the teacher photocopies shit from the book for some reason.
Or it's like a 500 page book and you use like 20 or 30 pages max.

Yeah, that happens too often. Not this time though.

I don't know why but I've always been happy with Math textbooks. I reference them a lot even when we aren't told to. But others tend to be cluttered with mostly useless information that takes a long time to read.

Thank you, Dianeva for saying "Math" instead of "Maths" Also, why do you Canadians (?) say '... I'm going to University' instead of 'I'm going to A University (or THE etc). Then again, we say we're going to College (not A or The). Why is that? Now I'm confused lol

My rant is that the pipes are frozen again. Which means the work I did yesterday didn't accomplish crap.
So now I need to carry buckets of water from hubby's house here until a thaw.

I'm also annoyed because my blood pressure machine finally needs batteries. I have no idea where it's cord is... probably still at the Farm. My reaction to Minipress was NOT in my head. I took my stats before taking the med: 143/91, pulse 90 (resting). I took the med, stood, my heart was POUNDING, I felt nauseous and dizzy. I took my pressure: 78/45, pulse 100. I laid in bed, took it again: 115/76, pulse 91

I tried taking my pressure before getting out of bed, but the batteries are dead. I'll try to get more from hubby later because I want a working baseline.
But a pulse of 100 is nothing to me- I don't know why I felt like my heart was going to explode.

Time to google the med again...

Tommo. Is that normal for you? Are you having an allergic reaction? Is it due to the weather?
everyone else. I'm SO glad I don't have to worry about school!

Erii. Do you have bipolar disorder? It sounds like you're "rapid cycling". How's your lifestyle (sleep/activity and such). Maybe you just need to slow down or get on a good routine?

My guess would be because your blood pressure was so low. That's definitely why you were nauseous and dizzy, and having it that low can cause anxiety that can make you feel like your heart is beating that fast. Lowering blood pressure is actually one of the ways that smoking too much weed (mostly for beginners or people who've overdone it) can cause panic attacks and short fainting spells, and weed anxiety is like 99% of the time about how your heart is beating way too hard and too fast when it's really going just slightly above normal, like yours was.

I don't know about the University thing. This is the first I've heard that non-Canadians don't say "going to University." It's the same as "going to college," "going to church," etc. It's just how it's said.

We don't say "maths" where I live. That sounds wrong to me. I've only recently been getting used to a lot of people (on DV) using "maths."

This is the first I've heard that non-Americans don't say "going to a University". I can't really come up with any good reason why we say it that way when everything else is the same, but it definitely sounds weird not to.
