      Questions to ask

So I am about to set up a meeting with a design studio who contacted me about my illustrations. They want me to exhibit in an exhibition with them.

I was wondering if anyone had some advice and/or questions I could ask.
I'm generally non-talkative so I don't want it to be awkward and have nothing to ask etc.
There will also be "industry" people there (at the exhibition, not the meeting).

I thought about posting this in the Help! section but it takes a while for replies and I need quick help!

Thanks guys! Any advice you have is welcome. Because I've never done anything like this before.

Ask about the exhibition space as though you care about what they can offer. Ask about location, what kind of crowds they usually get, the kind of people, etc.

Ask how many illustrations they can put up, obviously.

Ask whether they have any particular preference over what you put up.

Suggest that you'd like to use a certain set of illustrations, because they have a unifying theme or suchlike (so as to seem artistic and professional rather than simply putting up anything to hand).

Ask when it is, how long it will be. Obviously.

After the event, ask whether they'd consider giving you another exhibition, because you have new material that's a bit more experimental. They'll like that and it'll make you look edgy and professional.

And again, obviously. If it goes well, ask if they'd consider giving you work in their company. Their design studio or whatever.

If you have other artistic friends you could even drop their name in the conversation. As a kindly favour. And to make you seem connected.

      That what you wanted?

Awesome, yes that's what I wanted!
I thought of a few of those already, but you have some new ones, thanks!

Thank SINDRED! I did ask some of these questions, but they literally answered most of them just as we were talking about something which reminded me about one of the things I wanted to know/ask. hehe

Thanks though, it went quite well, considering I'm not socially inclined whatsoever hehe

      LOL wat????
I haven't even had the exhibition. Haven't even done drafts yet lol
This thing was just a meeting before the exhibition to tell me about it, get to know each other etc. I guess.

Besides, I think you're the only one who is here anyway, so there's no "we"
I'll show you when I've done them for sure.
