Now I'm finding that I don't spend enough time here.

Now I've gone about two days without DV due to this hacking kerfuffle.

Pretty sure I was having withdrawal symptoms.

Same. And I feel like I'm in limbo. Like my DV handle is split between two doppelganger sites. I'm scared that they are doing terrible, terrible things to the other Ophelia over there

In one way I was a little glad DV got hacked as I decided I would wait for the issue to be solved and stay away for a while instead of being glued to DV unable to escape due to my addictive nature. This gave me plenty of time to attend to chores that really needed my attention and Im 350 quid up as that time spent elsewhere enabled me to make some money.

I don't spend time at DV almost at all. Actually, i think that i should be here more often. One of the reasons why i'm usually away, is that Finlander keeps me up-to-date about lucid dreaming and DV.

The incident took up a lot of my time I should have been using for doing homework. I'm pretty sure I failed a math midterm because of it.

Now I have a weekend to get things done, so I'm very, very glad the false DV is down. I no longer feel as though I have to stop what I'm doing to warn people. Although, there are probably many stragglers who see DV is down, and redirections could be put up on other sites for them........ know what, I should probably go to a coffee shop and study... yeah, that's what I'll do.

Lol I know what you mean. I keep thinking about prospective new members, googling dream awareness, or dream control, and finding dreamviews.com, and they get that ruskie site down shit.

I wonder how many of them will never come back as a result

You can only hope that they go on to find LD4all. Personally I think it's more important that prospective LDers find some information on the subject, even if it's from the rival site.

The atmosphere Dreamviews generates, as opposed to LD4all, makes you want to use it for longer periods of time. When I first decided to join a lucid dreaming community I learned of DV and LD4all. It didn't take me long to abandon the latter.

Yeah I remember years ago when DV was down for what seemed like weeks, the DV community just gravitated to LD4all. Not because we needed another LD site, but because it was the first place anyone could think of to find each other again. That's just how tight our community can be sometimes. And since that was before facebook, LD4all was the obvious choice. So yeah, even though it's our rival site, I'm glad it's there as a kind of lifeboat when DV goes down for whatever reason.

I wonder if my account is still there.

I think I'm starting to perceive my emotions in terms of DV emoticons. I caught myself consciously acting out a just now while laughing to myself about something.
