Thread: Post any Unusual Talents you Have

Forgot to mention that I can type really fast. I'm not quite as fast as I used to be around my Senior year of high school, when we used to have speed-based text RP fighting competitions, but it comes back to me every now and then. I almost wouldn't say that it is an 'unusual' talent, but at my best, I really do think I'm 'unusually' fast.

I'm much faster when I don't have to read what I'm typing (like in chat), but I'm still not quite as fast as I used to be.

Oh wow...was that on the default topic: Astronauts? That's crazy speed given the use of punctuation and relatively 'complex' words.

Nah. It was on "Test Instructions". That damn Astronauts one was too tough for me, being so out of practice (mainly for the reasons you mentioned).

Holy cow! I can't do more than about 60WPM with no errors. I am also out of practice, and I seem to type better when I don't have to look at what I type and even when I can't see the keyboard, like when it's dark.

[Edit] Just thought of another one (I get the feeling someone brought this up before, but I really don't feel like re-reading every post in the thread to be sure): I can bend all fingers except the thumbs and pinkies of both hands at the very top joint, keeping the lower 2/3's of the fingers completely straight.

I can do both of these also. Hiccups, gone, just a matter of controlling my diaphragm.

Fingers, bent, and like you on both hands.

I can also bend the last digits of my first fingers completely backwards (by pushing on them) at the same time, so when I place the middle finger and the index finger next to each other they form a T.


I can have multiple orgasms, and lots of them. Not necessarily a talent, so much as a gift.

That's the one I got 49WPM on. It's only alright. But I'm a programmer so typing weird symbols doesn't bother me so much.

Agreed. I've also noticed that I'm usually at my absolute fastest when I've got a buzz, and I'm not thinking too much about typing. My fingers just kind of go off on their own.

Exactly correct, and you are officially the only person I've ever known (besides myself), who had that figured out.
