      Chimp solving memory puzzle

      Ayumu the chimp can remember the location and order of a set of numbers in less time than it takes the average human to blink.
      The prodigous can solve the puzzle in 60 milliseconds, at Kyoto University, Japan

      I've seen this before a few times and have thought it's pretty much the best example of chimp intelligence. I don't know if this video showed the comparison between the chimps and humans (chimps did it faster) but keep in mind that the chimp had been doing it for a long time. If the humans had been too they might have done it as quickly.

      Yeah, have you seen the young kids doing the cup sorting thing? Just lots of practice, and chimps are pretty smart.

      Yeah it's hardly a fair test, animals are pretty good at pattern recognition and can be trained to become better at recognising certain things. I read that they did a study on students and they picked the skill up pretty quickly too.

      I was thinking practice is the key too. But come on, everyone should give the chimp a pat on its back.

      Now I'm worried it'll need glasses one day for staring at screens/reading too much.
