I don't get it... how could a simple user do this...?

I thought that it's a mod on an alt account just playing jokes on us.

Simple. He hacked it, with a program of some sort. They were even explaining the codes in one of the threads I saw.

Hacking is not simple It's not like in the movies. That's why i doubted it.

It seemed kinda unbelievable to me that DV had such bad security, especially after the russian season...

I never said hacking is simple (but it might really be). In fact I have a friend who can easily hack others' emails and MSN without much effort. I just said the answer was simple. I didn't believe it at first but after seeing his love for pink and comic sans, it's hard not to believe.

Not sure about him lying but there was once his friend didn't believe him and the next minute he can't sign in to his MSN. We managed to get a free Megaupload premium account thanks to him too.

Solution: Don't click on suspicious links and it won't happen.

Every time something like this happens, there's always talk about "SQL injection". I found it pretty doubt-worthy as well when I read MindGame's other thread where he was like "Oh I just injected some SQL somewhere, I'll even undo it and tell you where I did it" as if it's as simple as just pasting some code somewhere.

And honestly, it's got to be at least somewhat simple if a normal user can use it as well as Russians can.

This wasn't an attack to the database, like with the Russians. Just a text glitch in Community Hall that was exploited. Not dangerous, just incredibly annoying.

Actually it was an attack to the database, albeit a funny and mostly harmless one. You see, I wasn't trying to do any harm to dreamviews, although if I wanted to I could have just as easily redirected everyone who visited the forum to lemonparty.org or made the Trololo song the official theme song of the front page. I could have also done a lot more damage if I wanted to but I'm not too experienced with SQL injection. However as you can see I just decided just to go with turning everybody's text pink.

Also, it wasn't just a text glitch unless that's what you consider SQL injection and server-side code execution to be.
