Thread: 18 Or Older Only.

I haven't. More for lack of a supplier and that I can't be assed hunting a reliable one down, than anything else. I'm not against the stuff, as long as it's used responsibly, and that a system is in place to ensure that those susceptible to the negative psychological effects, such as addiction and overuse, and schizophrenia, are caught as early as possible and helped.

I have and I love it.

I've come close but haven't. Peer pressure is a big factor in most of these things.

Also, with this title, there's no way people under 18 are going to not click it.

I spent most of my teen years acting as a chimney - from 12 through 21, with a couple breaks in between.

At 21, when I realized that I was unable to hold a job, carry on a normal conversation (with anybody who wasn't stoned,) maintain a healthy relationship with a female or accomplish much of anything else, I re-evaluated. (It wasn't just weed... it was everything.)

I've been sober ever since, and life is good.

I have nothing against weed, in the same way I have nothing against drink. If I didn't love it, I wouldn't have become so invested in it. But the fact is that I have a highly addictive personality. Whether drink or smoke or pills or whatever, I (and others like me) can't put it down once started, and doing it continuously definitely proved debilitating in the long run.

So I don't even start anymore.

I continue to endure the incredible damage done to my lungs, but seem to have gotten a lot of my brain back over the years.

smoking anything is not my type of thing.

Smoked it several times. Didn't like it.

I've no problems with anyone smoking it, just dont' smoke it around me. I hate the smell of it and I can't stand the blissful nonsense that possesses some pot smokers. It's just annoying. Don't mind the deep thinker smokers, but the giddy, giggly ones make me want to plant my boot in their face.

I been guilty of smoking it once in a blue moon. I despise people that use it regularly. they have no motivation, or energy whatsoever. People on my job always sneak off for a hoot when they should be using that time to make money. when people waste my time on the job I LOSE money because it's piece work so time and production IS money.

I mean if pot is so great and all why is everyone who smokes it depressed????

Haven't and won't ever. My brother got into drugs pretty heavy, almost exclusively booze and weed, and it trashed his life. He's straightened out now, and he's doing a lot better, but he can't get work because he's got a criminal record from "just weed".
In short, I don't want to end up like that. I'm glad my bro's straightened out his life, but I'd rather not follow the same path.

i've tried it. and love it way too much. currently trying to cut back.
the truth is that most potheads are apathetic, lazy, and incapable of coherent thought.

What is the point of only asking people above 18 or they smoked pod? Just beacause there are a few under-18 po-heads doesn't mean those people turn into perfect citizens all of a sudden...

Anyhow, I am not 18, but unless I die I think I am pretty sure that I will do cannabis when I am 18+. Even if I get lung cancer (seems unlikely, smoking is for 'losers&#39 then I will just eat space cake or something ^__^

Weed increases your IQ with 30382%, it is true, I read it somewhere. Ok it doesn't, but unless you start at a young responability-less age it doesn't hurt at all.

wow. Ok sure, there are some smokers who just love sitting around, not doing anything. But any sober person can make the same choice. Motivation is within you, not the drug. I smoke upwards of five times a day. I go to school, and don’t skip classes (4.0 GPA) and work sixty hours a week doing landscape. I feel I have MORE motivation than my friends who don’t smoke, and the guys I DO smoke with, shit we do tons of stuff!

I'm highly motivated and strive for success. At work, I'm the first to start and last to stop. I hold a managment postion now, dont you think that might need some energy and motivation to uphold?

Everyone who smokes weed is not depressed. I’m not depressed, my friends aren't depressed, actually I can’t think of anyone I know that smokes and shows symptoms of depression. I know plenty of sober and depressed peeps though.

What I’ve noticed is when you start to rely on pot (or any drug) to make you feel normal, that’s when problems can arise. You need to be able to balance your sober time and high time, to maintain the high's appeal. Otherwise your high seems like sober.

I'm over 18 now, but smoked a few times back in high school. I didn't really care a whole lot for it, mainly did it to look cool in front of my "friends".

I'm also over 18 and have smoked it several times. I don't really smoke it now, but I think I do want to take it up again when I'm a lot older. Kind of planning my mid-life crisis in advance lol.

If you don't like smoke, you can always use a vapouriser, or make brownies or whatever.

Iv'e done it a few times. Ill occaisonly smoke when i hang out with my finreds back home, but I never get high or anything.

Haven't tried it, don't care if others have though. In most ways, it's better than being an alcoholic but I don't drink either ^^

I smoke about 3 or 4 times a day, blunts too not joints, and i feel great. Im not depressed, or lazy. I own my own remodeling company and the smoke has never interfered with my job. Actually, if i smoke i can do a roof or work on siding or anything dealing with great hieghts, but if i dont smoke, im sooooooo scared of heights, its crazy. I also run a local music production company/record label and thats going great. I think it affects everyone a little different, for me, its great, for others it can have a negative effect. Only negative effect i might be experiencing is bad dream recall. Its gotten a hell of a lot better since i joined this site, but im willing to bet id remember so much more if i quit. It does affect your memory im not denying that. And it is still illegal in the US so be careful if you smoke!

I think its horrible that poeple have to use a drug to get"HIGH" I used to do it last summer all the time, but realized what a fool I was being, and stopped. My friends do it all the time and I dont really mind being around.

I was just out about an 1 hour ago with 2 of my good freinds, walking around and just chilling. The best thing about them being blitzz, is that I can mess around with them soo much! LOL. We were near a creek in the woods so I suggested that we jump the creek and have some fun. So I went across first and waited for them(i knew they wouldnt make it) so one of my friends follows me and jumps. He lands right in the middle of the creek and hes now soaked, it was sooooooooo funny.

I can do stupid shit to them all the time, because they never realize what they are doing. Of course I always keep it safe. I realize im beign an asshole whenever I do these things, but I think of it as punishment to them for brakign the law. So its ok. Ill admit im not 18, but its not like there is an age limit to smoke marijuana, its ilegal for everyone. And I bet that most people who use marijuana are between the ages of14-18 and 35-45. 14-18 you dont give a shit and, you stop because you are likely going off to more serious school, like collage or university. And the ages between 35 and 45, You dotn give a shit.

see that, your stereo typing all smokers together man. wtf. You smoke it once in a while, i smoke it everyday. I have great motivation though, i work for myself monday through saturday 8 hours a day as a carpenter. After work everyday until midnight, i run an independant record label. I smoke about a quarter ounce a day. I have so much energy too, i think i have too much lol.
