okay, first of all if you dont know what cosplaying is, dont bother, becuase chances are you arent going to take interest.

secondly, does anyone here cosplay/crossplay? if so, please post your pictures! or at least list some of them that you've done

becuase cosplaying at cons, is way too much fun

Cosplaying is dressing up as a character, usually from a videogame or anime, and is a sure sign that you have a mental condition known as "being an otaku".

I was supposed to be T-elos from Xenosaga III, but that fell through. I still have everything for the costume though and I intend on putting it together one of these days. It is a LOT of work though.

I would love to cosplay as American McGee's Alice...and about fifty other kick ass chick characters. Cosplaying is awesome. I was raised playing dress-up, so it's not going to disappear anytime soon.

Cosplays work best when the person cosplaying actually somewhat resembles the character, even without the costume.

Squall, if you are doing Cloud, and doing him right then I can't wait to see pics. There are so many crappy Cloud's out there. In fact I think the amount of sucky Clouds is only outnumbered by the amount of Sucky Soras. =P

Where I'm from, there is a day for this; except I don't think its just for anime and video games. Its pretty popular, y'all might have heard of it. We call it Halloween.

Omfg, really? Can you only give people gifts on Christmas? Is it illegal to give roses to your loved one on Valentine's Day? Only get piss drunk and pass out in the streets on Cinco De Mayo?? Wow. Sounds like a pretty boring place, if you ask me.

No, valentine's day is the only day it is legal to distribute roses, and drinking is an integral part of every holiday. Also, we use the term costumes because there are strict regulations against useless conjunctions like cosplay in order to avoid the ever present possibility of Orwellian control through 'newspeak'.

Though I have seen quite a few kick ass ones. Maybe 1 in 50.

I want to cosplay, however I don't look like any characters I know of. And conventions are wastes of time and money.

If I did cosplay, it'd be a videogame cosplay. My brother and I already have the Mario Bros. covered.
