Once it said I was gonna live until 2069. That was most kickass.
According to that, so long as I stay optimistic, I'll live to be a month shy of 98 years old. That sounds pretty good to me. My grandfather lived to be either 94 or 96, if I'm not mistaken.

      Sorry to depress anyone.
I guess I was fascinated with all the many variables that we could take into consideration, at the same time possibly having nothing to do with it.

Both sides of my family have longevity in their genes. Oddly my mother's side has a history of taking care of themselves. My grandmother is now 103!! < yep. But my dads side eats and does whatever they feel and still lives long, I really believe genetics play a huge role in our life span.
Some people can smoke their entire life and never get cancer. That being one of many examples I could write.
I don't really have a lot of dangerous hobbies and I'm in good health now. I do hope that my body forgives the many chemicals I ran through it for the sake of impairment.

... Yeah we never really got along very well. But he did have a point. I dont really live a very healthy lifestyle. And we've got cancer in our family. My uncle died. But that's because it was discovered so late. My father survived it and is now in great shape.

All things considered. I'll probably hit the 60 mark or so. I think that'd be a good age to check out. And I never wanted to get too old and wither away at some old people's home. The death clock says 55

Yeah they just add on 9 months and 12 days to your birthday, hence It says I die the day before halloween and it says 73.

2063 is common because we have alot of 17-18 year olds who have a nuetral mood, and don't smoke and are skinny .

AspirationRealized I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here. You're somewhere in your early 30's?

What gave you that impression? I'm eighteen...

Oh, and it works as I said. It may very well be a formula as easy as that, for that profile... however, people have discovered a difference after entering their information again directly after entering it once... and they've seen a change of a few years.

It may not be all that realistic, but it is pretty fun. And makes you think about the way you live.

According to Death Clock I will die when I'm 55 yrs. old.

I have bad genes. =/ Oh well, I don't exactly want to live too long. 55 is good for me.

Edit - I just did that again, without changing anything, and apparently now I will die when I'm 79.

The death clock is a little ridiculous, all it factors is your age, sex, BMI and whether you smoke or not ...

I honestly hope to live until 120 or later... hey, with new technology, living very healthy (I do), and a lot of money (to make it easier to live healthy, get medical support, and take advantage of new technology) it should be easy. I think the most prominent factor will be technology advancing life span, which should increase a lot within the next 60-70 years.

Sure, but if people lived any longer, we'd have an even bigger population problem.

I think we'll have the technology and never give it to the masses :/

Hence having the money to get the technology

Plus, it is rather naive to pretend people will withhold technology that will give them huge amounts of money. I mean jesus... "eternal life" is probably one of the most desired technology ever.

I was watching 60 minutes the other day and there was a story on how some scientists believe that sometime within the next decade people will have the life expectancy of 1000 years of age.

No shit? I thought it was right on the money.
I really don't think it is meant to be anything more than to spark awareness for your health, invoke some fear.
Hence the BMI count below it.
