I heard that they still practice corporeal punishment in Mississippi. Go Mississippi! |

One more reason to be proud of my state. Hatred for homosexuals is one of the weirdest social phenomena there is. It is one of society's major WTF's. |

Sometimes I wonder if anyone has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.
It's things like this that make me want to go buy my own island and start a community there and invite all my friends. |

Ooh! I'd pitch in! |

Things are not as they seem
It is pretty mind-boggling. Though I gotta wonder, I'd expect the majority of the students to be just as bigoted as the authoratah. I mean, it's kind of part of the culture. Even if just 25% of the students are bigoted, it's enough people to make it seem like all the students are mad at those girls. |

There was no need to cancel the entire prom because of this, it seems sought of obvious that the people in charge intended this so that the girls would be mocked and angered at. This didn't help the matter. Just let them go and no one will notice. Sheesh. I would of just said, just try and wear something other than a tux, so it doesent look a bit odd for the school. Not that it matters, but you know what i mean. You don't want people laughing at them. |

I say that so many times it's even cliché now. |

Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
I sometimes find myself wondering if the misanthropic are even aware that this kind of solution would entail their destruction as well. It's suicide, to some degree...but why? Whatever... |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
I completely Agree Lezen. Why should the school get their hands dirty? Why not let the student body do it for them. I am a complete supporter for gay rights. Not having gay rights is like saying its ok to still have slavery. |

There was a discussion about this, on the radio, today. Some chick called in and was giving the school props because: "Christians need to make a stand! There is something wrong with these people! (Homosexuals) They have a sickness! They need to be taught a lesson, that this is not the way they should live, and blah blah blah..." (paraphrase) |

This is why i hate religion. It causes so many problems. If you believe in a religion to give you faith for a loved one. Or to help you move on in life and find better things then sure, go ahead. But its the sereous thing's like this, that annoy's me. Mainly, people find a religion/faith because it makes them feel better, about a loved one dieing. And that the loved one will be in a safe place. And they will keep thinking this until the day the die, because its a win-win situation if you ask me. You either, belive in God or another God your whole life and expect to go to heaven or a different place with love ect, and all of that. Or you die and lose cognotive function to the brain, and you won't know a damn thing about it. |

Oh, America. What have you done. |

I have to wonder why people feel compelled to 'fix' what is not 'normal'. Like I said before, normal is relative. Just because something is not to what you think should be normal means that you can fix it to fit. |

Shit, that's messed up. |

After reading into this more, I have made this conclusion: This could have been avoided completely. There was no rule to say that this couple could not have gone separately in the tickets, stay together for the night, and none would be the wiser. Insisting on going as a couple put the school on the spot to decide whether or not to accept them for who they are. When refused, the girls made it public by threatening to sue. The school called the bluff, and decided to not deal with the situation at all. |

April Ryan is my friend,
Every sorrow she can mend.
When i visit her dark realm,
Does it simply overwhelm.
