Buiding device, need your suggestions !!!

Hi everybody, this is my first post.
Last lucid dream I had 8 years ago, was too stressed to have one in this period, so...

I want to build a improved device of what already exist on the market but with low cost microcontroller and sensors, and release it for open source so everyone can put it together for a few $, but I would need your suggestions for that because so much has happened since Nova Dreamer so I hope there are much better devices now. What I do not want is to build anything that measures brainwaves.

-What is the best device for lucid dream induction, in short how it works, and what would you change on it?

-What do you know that it can be registered/measured on beginning of REM phase besides of eye-movements?

-What sensory/tactile/visual cues would you prefer to be triggered?

-What do you want to be able to adjust?

I am experimenting with my own EILD devices at the moment. I am testing a new device tonight I am positive about. It would be great if you make a device and then release it on open source. May I suggest you make a series of YouTube videos showing clearly how you make your device? People obviously have different degrees of knowledge and some of the devices I've seen online have tutorials that require a level of technical knowledge I don't have.

If you haven't already done so, read Placebo's REM Detectors (again) thread.

Good luck with this. Let me know how you progress.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

I have an REM Dreamer as of now and provide pictures.

If you can, make it programmable via Mac, Linux, or Windows amd transfer via a micro-SD Card. The REM Dreamer is a bit of a pain to set up.

I would be interested in knowing if an EILD device could be made to help with WILD attempts. My thoughts are that a mask could have a flashing light (the light would have to be quite dim, probably) that flashes during a WILD attempt to act as an actor. As a further option you could be able to signal by eye movements that you have gone into a lucid dream to make the flashing stop. Then once that lucid dream ends, the device could act as a normal mask, flashing the light to act as a dreamsign.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
